  1. TUSK!
C’mon Trojans! Gotta grow up today and become a bball program by winning in the big dance.
    FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!✌✌✌

  2. “Aside from that Mrs. Lincoln how’d you like the play?” or Man no matter what USC throws up clanks and the reverse for Providence

    • I was sad as hell in the first half LOL. BUT……WE ARE FIGHTING ON this motherbleeeeeeep!!!! We showed big time heart when it mattered and we’re moving on Tim✌

        • I feel like we played our best defense of the year in the last 10 minutes. McLaughlin was grabbin rebounds. Guys were rotating and helping each other. Rakocevic brought the energy and we fed off it

        • Rematch vs. SMU is next.
The guys need to play with same intensity from start to finish and keep it moving!

  3. USC 75 Providence 71!

USC wins! What a comeback! Down 17 points in the 2nd half and – boom!

On to Tulsa against SMU this Friday!

    • Wow!
11 seed beats an 11 seed!
Well done Trojans. Huge win for your program, such as it is.
You now have equalled UC Davis for first round performance (although they are ranked higher academically),
      Yay Trojans!

      • If an SC win in a play-in game boils you this much j metaphor, it’s not gonna be a long life. I suggest hiking, instead of sports.

      • LOL.
Dude you ooze jealousy and know that the Cubs aren’t ready to be in the Final Four. You better hope Lonzo isn’t looking ahead to Draft day so UGLY can avoid getting chin checked. You were predicting a #1 seed all year. You may have a #1 overall pick that can’t play well unless he hears daddy’s constant constant praise from the bleachers. Baby Alford is gonna get carried away and build a nice house of bricks from 3pnt land. This is March, you have to play defense to advance.
        BASKETBALL SCHOOL MY A**!

        • Time to, again, channel ‘the peckerhead’….

“Come to us oh woodrow….return from the nether world and coach us to glory….but realize ‘jonni’e they’re no longer just 16 teams but 64 and they no longer fix the deck

with games at Pauley not even ‘in-state’ but across the nation….oh yeah get Sam too….your slave and commode cleaner ‘j simile’

          • SC would have been a tournament team every year back then. Only one team from the conference could play in the tournament am I correct?

          • You are correct sir but I’m not sure about multiple appearances save for the ‘lock’ on the 1970-1971 squad.

    • Can you imagine the smile Wolf had on his face at half time? Now he’s trying to figure out how to spin this.

  4. Poor Scott – he was all set to unload on Enfield – I guess he’ll rip Andy for a lousy 1st half.

    Fight on!

    • Worst-case scenario for Scottie. A Trojan win – in the tournament, no less.

  5. Rako made a HUGE difference. Super Mezi clutch at the line! Beat the Mustangs! Fight On!

  6. Wow. That is all I have to say– Wow, Down 17, I was down in the dumps, but now I feel quite light and happy.

I only hope this is the beginning of SC basketball as it should be in the tournament every year.

    • He was the X-Factor. When we were getting balled he turned it on and didn’t look like a freshman anymore. Enfield gave him some big minutes.

  7. Really impressed with how they responded in the 2nd half, especially on defense. I don’t think Providence got one clean three pointer in the 2nd, after hitting 8 in the 1st. Good adjustments – it fed into the momentum on offense, especially in the paint. Man, they couldn’t hit a layup or free throw in the first 20 mins, and Providence couldn’t miss. Rako and Matthews really provided a spark on offense in the 2nd half, well done.

And at least we know they have a chance against SMU. Hope they keep up the same aggression on D that they had in the 2nd half. Best tournament win I’ve seen by an SC team since the Sam Clancy-Brandon Granville-Brian Scalabrine days. Fight on!

  8. The young Serb ignited the comeback with flashy drives to the basket ,slick down low offense, great movement away from the ball, excellent setting screens, a slick passer, and smart one-on-one defender. Freshmen Rakocevic and Mathews in the same starting lineup with Metu, Boatwright, and McLaughlin and WOW !!! This lineup took charge midway through the second half and never let up. SMU, hear come the Trojan BB Varsity to make it 2-0.
