Charles Barkley v. LaVar Ball

Charles Barkley is tired of LaVar Ball, so he’s wearing the jersey of UCLA’s opponents during the NCAA Tournament.
“I’m going to wear a jersey till they lose,” Barkley said. “He’s going to be following the camera around. So I need them to lose so we quit showing him.

“I have some animosity toward the UCLA program at this particular moment. Right now, I’ve got bitter anger animosity toward certain people affiliated – not the players. Love Steve Alford.”

Earlier this week, Barkley challenged Ball to a one-on-one matchup. “Once I found out he averaged two points a game in college, listen, you need to slow your roll. I need to go back and Google this guy, because maybe I missed the Ball era, when he was dominating and winning championships everywhere else.”

  1. If you listen to his commentary he begins to talk about national powers “…NC, Duke, IN, Vanderbilt…’ then one of the others reminds him of ‘KS’ and he says “Oh yeah KS!”….no mention by anyone on that panel ‘ucla’.

    • Chuck got worked his entire career by UCLA and UCLA basketball alumni so anyone can understand his attitude when it comes to The Bruins. Perhaps not as bitter as Tark or Bobby “I know more about basketball than anyone” Knight but bitter, still.

  2. Charles must hear footsteps. A new big mouth is coming to take his pundit job away.

    • Before Barkley became popular, before he got lazy and turned into a cartoon character, he was a very good, truth-telling analyst.

  3. I love Charles Barkley. He is very insightful, and tells it like it is. He has the guts to call out LaVar Ball for what he is- A Kardashian style, loud mouth, knucklehead, that everyone should ignore.

  4. Actually, Lavar is pretty smart. I think I heard he has a start up apparel line so publicity is everything to get it off the ground. He’s probably thanking Charles for helping him…

  5. I like Chuck but you have to remember how many times Kareem ate his lunch. Neither Chuck nor his teams ever reached Kareem’s status. What he couldn’t do with his game, he is trying to do now with his mouth. USCR is right, Chuck and Lavar are playing the same game and Barkley is just giving The Ball Family more and more ink.

  6. If there’s somebody who shouldn’t complain about Lavar Ball being a trash talker, it’s Barkley. You know the old saying,,,,,”if you live in a glass house, you shouldn’t being throwing rocks”.
