Jamel Cook’s Break Out Practice

I’ve heard big things about safety Jamel Cook since last year but he was forced to redshirt with an injury. But today Cook intercepted three passes (one off each QB). Cook played nickel back and also rushed the quarterbacks off the edge. He is a player to watch for spring and fall training camp.

  1. Love it! But where’s the catch? No downside? Straying a little far off-brand, aren’t you?

      • Good point. But for what it’s worth Jamel has really good football bloodlines. Florida States Dalvin Cook is his cousin and will be a 1st Round pick. The Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree I hope.

        • Absolutely, just surprised the blogger didn’t throw the QBs under the bus like he does every spring. So far not even one “pick count” post!

  2. I said it before. Look out for this young man. No disrespect to Chris Hawkins or Marvell Tell but Jamel Cook is coming!

    • Hey whatever happened to ‘Brandon Hancock’? “Oh pater I did my gig for FSN and I passed the ‘bar’ …what now?” Indeed ‘Brandon….what sayest thou? …I mean what’s sweeter than a gig working for your pa at his law firm?

      • He’s on the pregame, post game with John Jackson. Is he not with the Pete Arbogast USC Radio team anymore. I’m sure he has a regular day job. But last I heard he was interviewing post games.

        • Thanks ‘Scandinavian Air System’. Frankly the guy always struck me as a admittedly ‘big boy’ to the manor borne….not to the level of that pu&z Jesse Palmer but another pretty face.
