USC Is Everywhere Update

Well, USC graduate Oscar Munoz, the CEO of United Airlines, has issued another statement today.with the airline in full damage control. The key phrases are “I deeply apologize to the customer forcibly removed” and “It’s never too late to do the right thing.”

There goes the chance to join the Board of Trustees one day.

Full statement after the jump:

The truly horrific event that occurred on this flight has elicited many responses from all of us: outrage, anger, disappointment. I share all of those sentiments, and one above all: my deepest apologies for what happened. Like you, I continue to be disturbed by what happened on this flight and I deeply apologize to the customer forcibly removed and to all the customers aboard. No one should ever be mistreated this way.

I want you to know that we take full responsibility and we will work to make it right.

It’s never too late to do the right thing. I have committed to our customers and our employees that we are going to fix what’s broken so this never happens again. This will include a thorough review of crew movement, our policies for incentivizing volunteers in these situations, how we handle oversold situations and an examination of how we partner with airport authorities and local law enforcement. We’ll communicate the results of our review by April 30th

  1. Apparently, the United Board wasn’t amused and forced Oscar to have an emergency surgery to remove his head from his kazoo.

    • Just in case you are wondering why the passenger needed to be removed like a 5 year old, it turns out the good doctor/passenger is recently off probation for illegally prescribing narcotics. He’s been limited to practicing 1 day week by his state.

      • Wrong, that had nothing to do with it. The media found out about that after the incident.

        • Lol.
Character counts in the big boy world.

Tell me it doesn’t and you’re a liar.

          • Are we to assume United’s halfwits were worried the Doctor would be writing bogus prescriptions during the flight.

I believe the Doctor has won a 1/4 million $$$$ in poker tournaments.

          • See you went right around any discussion of character.
This guy was a loon. He literally resisted like a 5 year old
How he acted wasn’t by mistake, he has practice.
Yet, his actions are irrelevant here.

            How hypocritical of you.

          • Apparently character assassination does as well. Please tell me how did the thugs dragging him off the plane knew about his legal issues? United would have been within their rights to remove him but, as it turns out they were required to provide a written copy of the Contract of Carriage, they didn’t before dragging him off the plane.

          • Character assassination?
He actually did, and was convicted of and punished through his medical license.

    • It is only the stupidity of the southern cal brass that the WoIfman is not a trustee already!
