  1. Several helpful, reality-based posts in a row. Is the vintage Scott Wolf making a return?

  2. Just imagine if Darnold had thrown a pick! SW would have recommended we take him off the Heisman watch list!

      • Correct, marv. And it’ll be a shame if that’s how Darnold spends his last year of college football.

        • You actually think CH plans for Darnold to dink and dunk his way through his last year?

No way. That’s not even a remote possibility. I presume you’re being facetious, in which case, good joke!

          • Did you see the final practice, Jack? Receivers were having a ton of trouble with the long ball (heck, they weren’t even fighting to go after it). If they don’t look better in the fall (when we have Burnett), Helton won’t have a choice—he’ll have to rely on the run mixed with short passes until the youngsters toughen up. No knock on Darnold. Or Clay Helton. It just is what it is.

          • I don’t think spring ball is any barometer for how receivers will be catching the ball in Sept. Just don’t. Today the players looked like they were just playing 3/4 speed most the time. Fine with me. Nothing matters now except getting guys healthy and learning the system. I believe that’s how the coaches feel about it too.

Now, it’s all about off-season work-outs, commitment and development of team leadership – all much more important that spring practices IMHO.

          • In case you haven’t been paying a attention, he wants to to rely on the run. How many times has CH said he wants to be a run first offense. Joe Montana and Tom Brady have made a living dinking off passes. At one time it was called ” The West Coast Offense”.

          • Hey Pete! My friend, Jack, says “that’s [i.e., dinking and dunking] not even a remote possibility.”

  3. SW, Lot’s of helpful Stats in your Spring Scrimmage Post. One of the best !! The yard’s per carry look very anemic. Did the Trojan offensive line put 5 on the line of scrimmage ?

  4. Real productive offense you got there. Hahahaha! This collapse may be better than the from one to un year.

    • Absolutely, bozo u is ready for another shot at Alabama – Anytime, Anywhere. LOL

        • Poor little gutties. They had to fire a bunch of their crappy coaches and brought in DeBong Foster to teach the baby bruins how to score a car for the season. Loser little gutty strategy.

    • Darnold wins 8 straight and puts up 50 plus in the RB, what was the chosens last game stats? Last two, three? Ruins picked to win PAC 12 by many, even playoff team by some, where’d they finish?

Oh, btw, I’ll give you a pass on last season the next time you beat us without sanction restrictions…I’ve got no worries!

  5. They should think about going to some kind of a package on certain plays where Vaie is in at fullback along with a tailback. He really is good. He runs hard and he’s fast.
