USC Spring Thoughts

Here’s some thoughts as USC wrapped up spring practice and looking to the fall.

  1. These guys clearly don’t understand the function of today’s Coliseum “practice”, nor the goals of CH and his staff at this time.

This isn’t spring ball when Larry Smith was arguing with Todd Marinovich and players were brutalizing each other in April. Times have changed a lot.

I’m sure the staff is very happy with what the Trojans are stacking up to be.

We obviously have some very nice skill players from what I saw today and our defense will be improved. It’ll all come down to the OL in the end and that unit has five months to jell and get healthy. No amount of hard-core game action today was going to affect that issue in the least. Not sure why these three commentators can’t grasp this very simple, obvious concept.

    • They sound like they would only be happy if the injured players were out there. Maybe the two of them should have lined up against the team so we could have seen how they would have held up.
