When Will USC Hire A Women’s Basketball Coach?

Now that several candidates have turned USC down, the question is when will USC hire a women’s basketball coach? Let’s hope the unimaginative idea of bringing back Cheryl Miller is not the end result of this tortured search. That is a scenario being considered.

But here’s an article that says one reason this search took so long is because Lynn Swann could not interview candidates because he was at the Masters golf tournament. Golf is king.

  1. A golfer’s skill is in direct inverse to his firm’s success – that applies even more to the clowns who can’t golf. Said many times “What a horrible way to ruin a perfectly good walk!”

  2. Several candidates have turned down the job? Enfield’s recommendation for the FGC coach didn’t work out but who else has turned down the job?

    • I think the best solution is to disband the Women’s BB team and xfer the BB budget to the FB team.

      • Lynn Swann should call up the Oregon State Coach and make an offer. Give him a significant bump in pay get it over with. Michael Cooper and Cynthia Cooper were the hometown heroes and they didn’t work out. I say aim high.

  3. I’m glad Lynn Swann is taking his time, hope he hires the right Coach for women Basketball team. Someone who cares about these young ladies and not the money.
