USC Stat Of The Day

The Pac-12 Network said during Saturday’s scrimmage that USC has been ranked in the preseason Top 10 on 21 occassions since 1979. The Trojans finished lower than their preseason ranking 15 times and finished unranked five times, per the network.

  1. USC’s always been, and always will be, a football media darling. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

What’s strange is SW is quoting the Pac-12 Network even though he can’t manage to get it into his own house. Cue for laughter.

      • We’re always laughing at you little gutty. You still haven’t figured that out yet. Must be why you hang here. It couldn’t be because of your horrible football team.

        • OUCH! That really hurts.
          You are so clever, Jackie!
          So witty!
You must be the intellectual terror of your Jr. High.

          • Why does your football team stink? What’s wrong little gutty? Cat got your tongue as always. That’s what I thought. Hah, hah, hah.

  2. I’d say ‘the Princess’ has an even more skewed finding then we do….28+ years an counting…..please please keep Brian Kelly!

  3. I’m no math major, but that means USC has choked 20 outta 21 seasons, failing to reach expectations!

no WONDER the wolfman is so angry all the time!!

  4. That’s probably true of preseason rankings for just about any team. Preseason rankings are notoriously wrong and generally do rely on the previous season and team history. Also note that if you are ranked #5 preseason and end up #9, then I would not call that being overrated at the start. That being said, I would always rather be ranked lower and the start and move up, like last year — less pressure.
