USC Morning Buzz: Shaquille O’Neal’s Son Commits To Arizona

Shareef O’Neal, a forward at Windward in Los Angeles, committed to Arizona this morning. He also considered USC, UCLA and Kentucky. That should be a relief for anyone who would have needed to squeeze into a seat at the Galen Center next to his father.

  1. Works for me – i.e. don’t need the 4th estate wondering why a former NBA star’s kid isn’t getting: more playing time, more touches, access from media….BTW good luck with that AZ coach – the guy is a nutter regardless of his skill set – he could have given Bobby Knight lesson’s in self-cntrol

  2. Wolf has proven he simply is not a sports fan. I would love to sit next to Shaq for a game. Hell, I’d ask him all about Javale McGee. That would be an awesome night.

Wolf’s writing implies though that he’s happiest when he isn’t bothered by anyone else. Definitely has the loner/hate humanity mentality that reporters get. Of course, they are usually 70 or so when they get it. He’s a man ahead of his time.

  3. Scott…
Shareef hasn’t been at Winward for nearly a year. He played his
Junior year at Santa Monica Crossroads.
