Bennie Boatwright Back For His Junior Season

Bennie Boatwright announced he will return for his junior year. So USC might be a top 10 team in the preseason rankings. How is that nonconfence schedule looking, Enfield . . . Crickets.

  1. Metu – Boatwright someone knows and senses something….a team without a meddling parent in tow…the new ‘new’ in LA college basketball!

  2. Good for SC! Enfield’s looking like a better hire every day! Glad Swann locked him up and am glad Haden hired him.

  3. I could not find the 2017-18 schedule, so I guess Snarky Wolf can write what he wants about a low-grade nonconference schedule, although Oklahoma promises to be a good game. Still, conference counts for 90% of the tally, so I like SC’s chances.

The only guy I was not overwhelmed about returning was Boat. He seems to think he is Steph Curry as he loves to shoot the 3-pointer, but he is only average. SC needs this guy’s 6’10” frame under the bucket, and I am sure the NBA is looking as well to see if Boat can play at that spot..

    • The skinny is the 3 pointer is the reason the bigs no longer use let alone need a ‘big man’ – center anymore.

    • john wolcott, if Bennie can make the big improvement his teammate Metu made before the 2017-2018 season kicks in, with Edwards staying on, our Trojans will compete well against Zona and the Ducks. We need that “IF”.

  4. Smart mobe but dont understand why he wouldnt go thru process and get evaluations then come back by May 24

  5. Still no Adoree posts from Flow! Classic.

Flow’s reaction to Adoree early in the first round: “Oooohhh s*&@…”

  6. Just shows that these young men learned from last year’s early-departures… can’t be the guilty revenant…

  7. Wolfy is NOT happy about this! It means he doesn’t get to go on vacation after January and exposes his limited knowledge of basketball other than attendance numbers and his one-dimensional obsession with RPIs.

  8. Smart move by BB!!!
    Now we’re on mission.
JMac and Stewart will be seniors and lead one more time, Bennie and Metu will be ready to peak in year three, Mathews and Melton are rising stars with high bball IQ’s and will be a year older, and then we throw Derryck Thorton in the mix and he can create running the offense. And we still have COB Jr., Victor Uyaelunmo, and Jordan Usher we have our best squad since 2000. But more importantly we have depth.
That’s a scary USC Basketball team!!!
    FightOn!!!
