  1. The scholarship issue always kills the Trojans in these dual meets. And for the same reason, we always kill them in the national meets.

    • But neither team seriously challenges for the national title like we both used to. Sad how the great SC track tradition has been destroyed by the NCAA.

      • Come on Goop, you’re mad cause bozo u can’t stockpile Track Athletes stifling competition.

        • Its not about stifiling competition, USC just has the traditon in doing well in track and field.. 309 Olympic medals and national championships, alums and former athletes expect great things from a tradition of excellence standpoint.. USC is a great academic university and has a rich history in athletics. Ucla and its alums and bandwagon fans wish they had the tradition and global brand USC has.

          • So 7, bozo u never stockpiled track recruits?

Remind me 7, how many successful bozo u grads live within 20 miles of So. Central.

          • Squatter, take your meds. I know you don’t know this because you just delivery pizza and collect bottles for a living after that wonderful ugly education, but for today’s lesson you will find out that USC has won 26 national championships in track and have won a gold medal in every summer Olympic since 1912. Just think, I know it is hard to do, that USC has won 2.6 times more championships than Johnny Cheetin Wooden and 7 more than Al Scates, the ex ruin volleyball coach. Look, you got history and math today in your lesson. Lucky you.

          • USC’s first double gold medalist was Charley Paddock ’23, who won two gold medals — in the 100-meter dash and as a member of the 400-meter relay team — along with a silver in Antwerp in 1920. He won a silver in 200 meters in the 1924 Games and was featured in the Oscar winning 1981 film “Chariots of Fire”. Talk about tradition!

      • Couldn’t agree more.US and world records used to be challenged in this meet. Coliseum crowd’s big , with the country watching.
