An Interesting Pac-12 Decision

The USC women’s tennis team finished tied for fifth in the Pac-12 standings but Coach Richard Gallien was named conference coach of the year. The Gallien era ended Friday when the No. 25 Trojans were upset by No. 44 Denver, 4-2. So were the Pac-12 coaches giving Gallien a nice send off with the award? Or did they feel they were sending a message to USC and athletic director Lynn Swann since Gallien “retired.”

  1. I’d say what he was given is what most of the ‘award’ ceremonies do “Hey Joe who haven’t we given an award to in the conference?” “Hmmm I think that old guy Gallien hasn’t ever gotten one.” “Ok let’s give it to him this year’.’ “You bet!”

  2. That is plainly ridiculous. One of the worst teams Gallien had during his tenure. He needed to be released a couple of years ago. The big question is who will be hired from a national search. If Swann takes one of the assistants then he should be locked in the basement of Heritage Hall.

    • Will Swann bring back 6 time USC national champion head coach Dave Borelli?

      • I knew Dave well in college. Terrific guy. So much success, so young. Really surprised us all. He was just a regular guy turned super coach.

I doubt he’s got the stomach for it any longer. He’s not headed back to USC IMO.

  3. Like former Director Comey, Coach Gallien should be very careful how he responds to these reports, in the event there are tapes of the conversations. P.S, Before the idiots can call for a subpoena of any tapes, doesn’t there need to be an issue? For example, doesn’t former Director Comey have to state that he never made the comment(s). If he made the comments, there’s no issue – hence no need for a subpoena. Gotta love the way the President continues to provoke the idiots. Can there panties get any more twisted?

    • You’re right about one thing – if a 3rd party makes any reference to any remark ‘heard’ between Comey and Pres. Trump in that meting they had prior to his getting sacked, who taped it? Who then released it and whose now stating such – that would be the most damning and indelible hit on Comey and prove what a corrupt clown he was or the corrupt underlings he had doing illegal acts behind the scene

  4. Scooter, explain to us the message that was being sent to Swanny?
