Stanford’s Big Victory

Stanford defeated UCLA, 8-7, to win the NCAA women’s water polo championship. It’s a significant victory because the Cardinal are now tied with UCLA for most NCAA titles (113). UCLA’s been in sole possession of No. 1 since 1996. USC is No. 3 with 104 titles.

  1. Yeah but their combined national championships in football for the last 60 years is ‘0’ as in zero! In fact the real date is now at 63 (1954) for bel-air tech and for stanford why it now rests at 77 years (1940) –

That is telling truly a colossal time period of three plus generations of graduates approaching four generations.

    • I was about to type the same thing. Doesn’t the Daily News have some other writer to take over this TMZ driven blog? Where are the real “inside” USC stats, stories, etc? I would like to know about USC athletes, their stories, how they are doing, the recruiting cycle, etc. We get NONE of that here.

      • So why keep coming back here if it sucks so bad? It’s not like there aren’t other SC sites.

  2. Too bad neither STAN nor ucla ever win football titles (always the biggest game in town), where USC specializes.

    • Blow a four run lead in last two innings. Time for Hubbs to go find another school to torture. Pitching is wild and woeful. A wild pitch on an IBB letting a run score. Last in the Pac-12 at 6 – 17. Swann step up to the plate when season ends.

  3. Hey Scott why no news on Haden and his vanishing act since the Mayr Foundation scandal broke last year? Where is he? Why has there been no penalty, that the public knows of, imposed upon him?

You post incessantly speculation about a myriad of topics why nothing about ‘Capper’?

  4. No football titles. WOT don’t play softball or do gymnastics which the ‘ruins have benefited from for their total. The sad part for the Trojans are not winning a title in men’s basketball ( never ), baseball, track & field, and even swimming since the middle seventies outside of 1998 for baseball.
