Morning Buzz: There’s Still A Competition Left For USC

As the college sports season winds down, USC is ranked No. 8 in the current Directors’ Cup standings, which award points for how high every sport finishes. USC has 615.5 points. And who is No. 9? UCLA with 610 points.

As usual, Stanford is No. 1 with 1,094.25 points. These standings do not include beach volleyball, where USC won the national title or women’s water polo, where USC finished in the top four.

  1. Who is the director? Why should we care other than being ahead of UCLA?

  2. Women’s Bowling is included as are Women’s and Men’s Ice Hockey. But, no Beach Volleyball or Women’s Water Polo? Looks like this “Cup” is somewhat irrelevant. Okay, maybe not somewhat.

  3. Why are the sports u mentioned not included? Most west coast teams play those sports. They should count. They let lesbo ball count
