Important Bowl Dates

There are two bowl games (Holiday, Foster Farms) that currently have “TBA” as their official date. Naturally, both are Pac-12 games. Here are the current dates for Pac-12 bowl games:

Rose Bowl: Jan. 1 (College Football Playoff semifinal this season)

Las Vegas Bowl: Dec. 16

Cactus Bowl: Dec. 26

Alamo Bowl: Dec. 28

Sun Bowl: Dec. 29

Foster Farms/Holiday: TBA

  1. And Larry Scott continues to get the Pac 12 into those High Profile, Lucrative New Year Day Bowls

  2. Thanks for the Bowl dates, Scott —but the only one Trojans really have to remember is Rose Bowl, January 1st.

    • You assume the ruins will win more than 4 games this year? The bowl info is for UW, Utah and Stanford readers.

      • Ha! That is exactly what should be printed on the Foster Farms and Holiday Bowl announcements when dates are picked: “For fans of University of Washington, Utah and Stanford Only.”

  3. Mike Guarino is right – the sole bowl that matters is the one we have played in more than any other – the Rose Bowl and this coming January 2018 it will decide who goes forward to play in Dallas for the ‘NC’

    • Yeah! Let Josh R. worry about the dates finally assigned to the Foster Farms and Holiday Bowls.

      • The conference is a huge ‘?’ this year esp. the Pac-12 North. OR is in full free-fall w. Taggart doing more damage in 3 mos. than anyone deemed possible – stanford seems to be re-building but save for them abd WA the other 3 are searching at best – OR St., WA St. abd Cal seems on the verge of implosion for a long time to come.

This is all WA’s – it truly is ‘but’ WA’s problem is their schedule esp. their ‘ooc’ Rutgers, MT and Fresno St. before they go out to play @ CO (30th Sept.) and @ AZ St. (14th Oct.) – they have home games against bel-air tech and stanford but I don’t see them ready for any real test the level of USC after Troy faces off against TX, ‘The Princess’ and bel-air tech.

Helton has to be ready and he better have no more than 1 loss by the 19th November –

        • I think we need to worry about Washington State. Their gunslinger quarterback Luke Falk is returning for his fourth year and most of their starters are returning. They only have to replace two of their five starting OL. They open with four straight home games to start the season with Boise State being their only big test before they host USC on September 29th. They then play on the road five of their final seven games including Cal, Arizona, Utah, Oregon and Washington, with three of those five games being probably winnable and the other two being toss ups.

          • You’re right about Mike Leach – he is one crazy but skilled coach. He got sacked out of TX Tech for being old school to the son of that clown that used to broadcast for ESPN out of SMU.

Leach is entering his 6th year with WA St. – they lost their last 2 conference games last year (CO and WA).

        • Darnold seems pretty indestructible —so if we can keep the O-line, Steven Mitchell and Deontay Burnett healthy through September —–long enough to take care of Stanford, Texas and Washington State—-we’ll be able to win the rest even if we have to rely on some of the youngsters. In 2017, September will determine everything —-and we need to be at full strength.

          • Yes it (Sept.) will – Helton et. al. has to defeat Western MI, stanford, TX and Cal before they head no. to face WA St. – get through those 5 and then approach ‘The Princess’ on the 21st Oct. to square the circle in 2017.

    • Closest thing to Crackhead tweeker bowl is the Las Vegas Bowl. You better get December 16th circled on your calendar drug baby.

  4. Larry Scott sucks. How can this slimeball settle for those bowl games with the exception of the Rose Bowl game? The conference is looked upon as an also ran and the bowl games perceive this thought. He needs more bowl games on January 1.
