  1. I think your baseball coach is going to have some free time on his hands in about a week.

      • Imagine being a little gutty football player walking embarrassed around campus, knowing The Chimp has the baby bruins by the short hairs and will be leading bruin mediocrity for years to come.

It’s a great time to be a Trojan. Can’t wait for the Nov beatdown of the bruins. Will be interesting to see if Rosen makes it through the game unhurt, assuming he isn’t already on crutches.

        • Jack, i love how much the “Mora made us better than we were” attitude is keeping him around westwood. Settling on being mediocre will be the reason they get beat down by USC again.

          • It’s all played out perfectly. Hundley was the only reason The Chimp enjoyed any success whatsoever. He left and the bruhorns went completely into the tank.

Now The Chimp, divorced and on the loose again, is committed to pretending Los Angeles isn’t owned by USC, while the Trojans mop the floor with him.

But I’m pretty sure we’re stuck with Hubbs since he got an extension just last Sept and USC isn’t supporting baseball as it once did.

I think another horrible year will wake up the echos and embarrass USC into hiring a decent guy. But I think the days of Trojan baseball glory are long gone.

To really resurrect baseball we’d have to hire one of the great college baseball coaches in the game and USC doesn’t care that much. Just look at the women’s hoops dumpster fire. We wanted an .830 coach and settled for a .595 retread. Disgusting.

          • I think we run Mora out of town this season. He may even jump ship after Helton gives him a third spanking. And you are right even if we were to hire a new coach, baseball does not seem to be a high priority at USC these days. I’ll push for a Hubbs turnaround but It looks like we’re in for another uphill battle next year.

          • I truly think this current USC baseball team is the worst ever fielded in Trojan history. How any of USC’s fully mediocre players could have any respect for Hubbs is a wonder – but if they do, more power to ’em.

          • I try to get to at least one SC baseball game every year and this is the second straight year we did not even want to head out to Dedeaux because it wasn’t worth the trip. Maybe next year.

          • They won’t fire Mora because he does all the politcially correct stuff that Chancellor Blockhead loves. They’d rather be politically correct than win.

          • Gosh Sammy, still have your head up your kazoo. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Mora has never lost 52 – 6, fail to score a game TD and at the same time rudely claim elite CFB status. LOL!

Alabama and Washington are still laughing hard and out loud.

Gee, Sammy, in the past 5 games Mora is 3 – 2 vs the bozos, and he’s made no excuses for losing. Hee, hee.

            #Excuses, excuses, excuses, excuses.

Hey Sambo, how many bozo u basketball players will be NBA drafted this year?

            #bozoubigboysports: 2chickbeachblanketbingowallyball.

          • Way to go Sambo, you’ve owned up to your largest problem: bozo u confusion.

Do you see a pattern hear?

          • Like you said Sam. Dorrel, who has a better record then Mora, did it against PC.
Let me ask you a hypothetical. You are about to hire two employees. OK. Your looking at the resumes of two potential hires and you called their previous employers because you have questions. The employers of both tell you that they had to be let go because of non-performce. Would you hire these two?

          • That’s exactly what Mora did. He hired Jedd Fisch and Hank Fraley. Both fired from their previous jobs.

          • That’s a sinking ship for ya. Nobody wanted to coach the O-line after Drevno left and it was mostly because Dark was the head man. Mora is getting that stench now. A sinking ship….

          • I hate to say this Pete. But we just rehired a women’s basketball coach that we fired right?

  2. Pathetic but maybe not all the coaches’ fault. Blame political correctness and Title IX (9) – baseball scholarships are severely limited in favor of female gymnasts, field hockey, beach volleyball, etc. minor sports nobody but their parents watch at the expense of good ol’ American hardball. With the expensive cost of a full ride scholarship now at about $60,000, partial, half or quarter scholarships are worthless to a good HS Player when he can go to another school like UCI, win championships and not pay a dime.

    • Mike Gillespie didn’t have an issue going to the CWS three times in four years and winning a national title in 1998. He played with the same “limited” amount of scholarships. Vanderbilt (private school) recently won the title. TCU (private school) has made four trips to Omaha since 2010.

  3. And he’ll ignore the call. There are better options than almost 80 year old Gillespie

    • Lynn is probably calling the Florida Gulf Coast coach based on his previous searches (or by just asking Andy Enfield who he would select).
