USC Morning Buzz: O.J. Simpson Parole Hearing In July

O.J. Simpson, who was sentenced to 33 years in prison in 2008, will have a parole hearing in Nevada in July and could be released in October.

Simpson’s prison sentence was forĀ an armed robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers at a Las Vegas hotel room. He faces four more years in prison if he does not receive parole.

  1. Lock him up!
Oh wait… Not OJ, I’m talking about the Orange clown we have in office!

  2. Don’t be silly. The armed robbery charge was a chance to get him in jail for killing his wife. How can an unarmed man rob someone when what he is after is stuff that belonged to him?
If he had been smart he would have brought an undercover police person to prove what was being sold was stolen goods. OJ was never considered smart but he did get away with murder.

    • He was charged with kidnapping, or its ilk, for holding them captive. One of his cohorts turned on him, testifying that he hired and directed them to bring weapons and not let anyone leave.
The judge in the case made clear that he was receiving the maximum possible sentence because she was convinced of his guilt in the murder case, and felt compelled by the lack of a conviction in that case.

    • 33 Years….$33 Million Civil Judgment. Things that make you go Hmmmmmmm

    • If he had been smart…stop right there. If he had been smart he would have moved to Hana to live on his $25,000 a month NFL pension, sip mai tais and disappear from public view the rest of his life.

  3. Its ammazing how the only people that commit crimes only go to usc and no other schools.

    • Ed, did you forget about Hennley that played at ugly and while he was in jail, he threatened to kill a judge? Don’t throw stones a glass houses.

    • How old are you, Eddie? My guess is that you made that outrageous comment either to get replies (like mine) or to banner your low intelligence. I’ll rightfully assume the latter.

        • You’re probably right…..but have you considered the possibility that it’s actually Lane Kiffin?

  4. Anyone remember DT Jordan Elliott and DT Antwaun Jackson?

    Both are transferring.

    • Don’t remember Jackson, but Elliott wasn’t getting along with the new staff who considered him overweight and sometimes lethargic. They gave him a target weight for fall camp and I guess it didn’t go down very well with him.

      • Good memory. Elliott was all over the place with his decision but at one time he was a sure Trojan. His teammate was Ed Oliver the great DT at Houston with Herman. Weird how he and Herman could get through or even to a first season when Oliver thrived last year as a star.

        • Oliver was by far and away the best freshman do in the country. Even when being doubled up on, he just tore up the line. In my opinion, he way out played the Jersey kid who went to michigan.
