NCAA Titles Should End Year Tied

Chart: Reddit

With the NCAA track and field championships starting today, neither Stanford nor UCLA is among the teams expected to win either the men’s or women’s titles. That means the year should end with each having won 113 NCAA titles. That is significant because for the first time since 1996, UCLA will not end a school year in sole possession of first place for NCAA titles. USC is No. 3 with 104 titles.

  1. scooter, you sound very hurt that there will be a tie. It does not matter, Jabroni. SC will be driving past them in a few short years and that is when you can rag on USC all you want.

  2. The best part of this posting is that next year there will be no tie and the Bruins will be relegated to no better than #2 for eternity. Stanford is loaded in too many sports for the hapless baby bears.

  3. USC has the most titles in men’s sports with 84, followed by Westwood High with 74.

  4. If you make the comparison NCAA team titles plus football national championships, USC has 115 to ucla’s 114.
