Fred Lynn Makes Omaha College Baseball Hall Of Fame

Former USC star Fred Lynn will be inducted into the Omaha College Baseball Hall of Fame on July 1. Lynn was a member of three USC teams that won NCAA titles and was an All-American in 1972 when he hit .467 in the College World Series. He is probably best known for being American League MVP and Rookie of the Year in 1975.

Lynn is already in the National College Baseball Hall of Fame. The Omaha version was created in 2013. The only other USC member is former coach Rod Dedeaux.

  1. Lynn played at USC when it was the king of college baseball. Too bad we let that get away from us. But he had a really good career in baseball and USC should be proud. I hope that playing for the Angels won’t hurt his credibility when he goes on stage.
