And Here You Thought Sam Darnold Was The No. 1 Draft Pick

We finally have an analyst’s view of last weekend’s Manning Passing Academy. Here’s what Patrick Woo, who scouts for the Senior Bowl, said to Land of 10.

“(Louisville QB) Lamar Jackson, UCLA’s Josh Rosen and USC’s Sam Darnold are great, but Tanner Lee was my favorite guy,” Woo sad.

Tanner Lee is at Nebraska. He redshirted last season after playing two years at Tulane. So there you go.

  1. Okay, Mr. Woo (WHO?!). Let’s allow your boy Tanner Lee to put together some REAL action on film first. Meanwhile, Sammy has already provided us with that. As for The Rosen One having REAL tape? Jury’s still out…

  2. Mr Woo is a good man. However, it should be noted that his last position was in the Penn State Lacross program

  3. I still remember watching a broadcast of the elite quarterback camp including running commentary. There was this young kid Max Browne who was a lock to be the first round pick in 2 years. But the comment I made to table at dinner was “the kid looks good, I hope they build a line for him.”
Throwing a football in minimal pads and with no rush just proves the guy can throw a ball.
Nebraska might have a line good enough to keep this upright, but I’ll take Sam any time.

  4. even john woo says john rosen is the greatest ever, im not the only one, smdh!

  5. Sounds the same as a stock broker trying to entice unwary investors to put money into a dawg.

  6. “So there you go”
Once again, excellent analysis and insight from the Comic Book Guy.

  7. Our guy Sam is the quintessential gamer, who tends to perform the best in the real game situation rather than in some spiffy camps. Not to worry, guys. He’ll show us what he’s made of in a few short months again!
