Morning Buzz: When USC Wore Home Jerseys On Road

When USC played at Georgia Tech in 1973, the Trojans wore cardinal jerseys. Why? Georgia Tech preferred to wear white jerseys for home games. No. 1-ranked USC defeated Georgia Tech, 23-6, as Lynn Swann scored two TDs, including a 48-yard punt return. It was also the Trojans’ 19th straight victory.

  1. USC always looks good in the home uniforms. I know a certain team that is just plain “ugly” in theirs.

  2. Scotty leads the parade of trojans who can only sit and dream of Yesterday on a daily basis.

    “Oh, i believe in Yesterday”

so MUCH is happening NOW, fellas! Marijuanavich is making a comeback! OJ is getting out of the can! McNair Trial will end up slimming the school ever further (i know, if that’s POSSIBLE).

    Buck Up!!

    • And you’re still sporting that Mullet just like your favorite wrestler of old, Brutus Beefcake.
      #livinginthepast!!

    • Brutus,
Hopefully, the case goes to court and McNair wins and he shows how the ncaa screwed usc over. While in the trial, they bring up the fact that Johnny Cheetin’ Wooden cheated like hell and then ugly gets slammed with a death penalty and have the 10 banners taken away.

      • Death penalty only hurts a team if they have a chance to win something. No worries there with the bRuins.

      • Has it occurred to anyone that the Miami didn’t get off because the NCAA screwed up the investigation, but that the NCAA screwed up the investigation to get Miami off?

  3. That was the best uni they’ve had. Take the decals off the helmet and it would be great

  4. This game was on the cover of Sports Illustrated, with a picture of Anthony Davis.
