USC And Justin Fields

Justin Fields is considered the nation’s No. 1-ranked QB. And USC is one of six schools he is considering along with Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, and Georgia. But the 247 recruiting service analysts consider USC a long shot because the Trojans don’t even show up on their crystal ball predictions for Fields.

  1. ugh! john rosen is teh number 1 ranked qb in teh country, i dont even now who this justin fields guy is, smdh!

    • Eddie, you can wake up from your nap. You were having one of your ugly dreams where everything came up puke blue and yellow. Time to face reality and watch another beat down on ugly by USC this year.

    • Ooooo baby you’re so ‘hip’ a definite ‘playah’ and a 100% lover of the former Prez ‘Barakska Chevrolet. “Hey Barakska swing that club fool….man you play sum’ pathetic golfeska.

  2. He’s from Georgia and 5 of his schools are in the South. Right, he ain’t coming to So Cal.

  3. No doubt someone in Field’s Posse mentioned what Toejam’s did to Browne, the last #1 ranked QB to waltz into bozo u.

  4. That would be the same 24/7 site that had Levi Jones going to FSU the day after signing day, right? So much for crystal balls.

    • Going off my own pov we’re probably anywhere after Georgia, FSU, and Florida for him and it’s a lot of ground to make up. He’s pretty locked in those three. Never count us or anyone else out like Bama because things can change fast as we’ve seen many times. I think the only way Fields ends up even considering us on serious level is if he gets a nod that Darnold is leaving, and I think we would have to be playing late still by making the CFP.

      • Yup, but Sears was about the same and he ended up coming after being committed to Duke. But you are pretty much right on.

        • These kids are in front of the tv every Saturday watching all the best games. We play Stanford and Texas both at 5:30 in back to back weeks in September and that should get the ball rolling putting all eyes on USC/Sam Darnold.

          • Long as the team wins, alls good. If we start 3-0, the hype will be loud as the Pete days. Eyes on the prize!!!

          • I agree. That’s what I’m thinking. I think if we win those first three games it’s gonna give our team a big boost of confidence that we can do this every week and they should take off from there.

          • They learned how to win last year, and showed it in the Rose Bowl. If they get that rhythm going the confidence and swagger will be back big as ever.

          • Yup. Time for us to throw a shutout here and there. Defense has to win a game or two somewhere as we go along. If they play well when Darnold or the Offense is struggling we should win out.

          • Yeah, Sam struggled a bit against ND, and early against PSU. But they managed to overcome and Sam showed resilience in the Rose Bowl after a slow start.

        • That was tough one for Duke. I almost felt bad that we stole Sears from them but I remebered how Duke beat us in the Elite 8 because Brandon Granville could not do anything to stop Jay Williams. So we’re even I hope.

    • Yeah they did. They usually get USC and out of state kids right or are close. They totally overlooked Helton and the staff with that one. But did check fighton247. There’s a new list of player rankings. Jalen Hall dropped big time. But a lot of our guys and targets moved up.

      • Saw that. Wondering about how many we’re taking at LB, DL, OL and receiver. Supposed to be a smaller class unless a lot of underclass men leave. Hope not, but who knows, maybe they’ll be a couple of transfers too?

        • We have to get Solomon Tuiaupupu. I think he should be ranked higher. He can cover ground and hit. My friend said that SC has back off of Merlin Roberson from Serra. I don’t know if we stopped completely or just have players higher on the board. One of the usual posters at 247 said EJ Price is still around but the he said the players don not like him either way. His stunt to try and coonvimce turn Chuma and

          • Heard Price was in class again. I don’t know his story, but coaches must have given him a plan to return or else why would he be back? That or he just gave up football, which I don’t believe.

          • Yeah. He’s been in class or on campus since it all started last year. Helton was the only one who offered him another chance and even he didn’t want to do that from what I heard. So Helton had a team meeting and addressed the events and everything that went on. He told them he’s leaning towards giving him another shot at coming back but he was gonna leave this decision up the players and the locker room. I think they felt he betrayed the entire team when was trying to turn Edoga away also. I have to say that I’m impressed with them for not being pushover and not standing for any type of bad seeds in the program. If he’s in shape which I doubt say f*ck it and take him back. He was immature. I would like to think he’s learned his lesson.

          • He’s young and probably full of himself, could still make a good Trojan if things work out. We don’t throw our kids away when they throw a tantrum. Might work out, either way I trust the coaches.

          • He obviously like Los Angeles and wants to be at USC. He may win back a chance to be a Trojan. We might know his ultimate status when Helton speaks at Pac-12 Media Days.

  5. That means nothing at this point in the game. If SC has a great season this year and challenges for the NC, they’ll have a good chance at just about anyone.

    • IMHO, three issues: (1) team performance; (2) Darnold clearly leaving; (3) for whatever reason, Fields visits, likes it, and decides that he wants the adventure of a big change.

Number 3 may be the most important issue. Some kids long for that major change/newness at age 18, while others don’t. It’s inside the kid…or not. Let’s face it–if every kid wanted that huge change, USC would not recruit nearly as well within urban So. Cal.

  6. im confused by this post cuz alabama chnaged theyre mascot I think, smdh!
