Are You Surprised No USC Center Made Rimington Watch List?

Did you expect Toa Lobendahn or Nico Falah to be on the watch list for theĀ Rimington Trophy, which goes to the nation’s top center? You might be if you knew seven other Pac-12 centers made the list.

Schools submit players for consideration, so it’s possible USC did not want to choose one center over the other. The full list is after the jump:

  1. I’m surprised they have these list. Just something for lazy reporters to discuss.

  2. Glad to hear this. Our OL really needs to get it together if we are to have the season people are expecting from USC. Maybe this will light a fire under Lobendahn and Falah. Both need to really improve for the Trojans to have a big year.

    • If Coach Callaway is as good as the players say he is, our O-Line will wind up being the difference maker this year (the raw talent is off the chart). Our problem is that both Stanford and Texas are projected to have VERY strong D-lines —and we play them back to back in September.

  3. lol! usc loses out on john carroll at qb and know theyre is no center, seams like the teem is faling a part,

    • Hey Bobble Head. You getting ready for the Nov massacre in the Coliseum? What a cake walk for the Trojans. Playing you harmless little gutties now is so tension-free.

The only question is, will USC beat baby ucla by more than 20. Will be fun to watch The Chimp and his little gutties scurry off the field after the slaughter.

    • Amazing. You keep topping yourself, Ed.

      • Pudley, my friend — I think you’ve answered everyone’s question.

          • Because of the reverse diction, I’m thinking more along the lines of Bizarro….

          • Hey 22, “Donnie Piles Jr.” needs Trump operatives to handle Russki dirty politics meetings – you Interested? This is a ground floor opportunity for Trump wannabes.

      • It is from him taking those ugly English classes. Tha teech u reel good.

  4. Maybe it’s because their not sure which one wil play there and which one will play right tackle. But make no mistake they will be watched once the season starts. These two will be all PAC 12 at whatever position they play. Just Watch.

    • That’s good to hear. Dedich has to be there to paint the picture of him at C, Carman at LT, and Sewell at RT. Clay Helton and Tee Martin should be ready to give him Championship pitch!

      • New talk about Sewell has him at guard between those two, he worked out there at SC with both Dedich and Jackson three weeks ago, then again at the Opening in Oregon. Word was they were awesome together…

  5. By mid season one of them will be on the list and a whole lot of them will be gone.

  6. USC has not recruited dominating lineman on the regular since the John Robinson era , so no, I’m not surprised.
