  1. Nothing to see here.. Lets talk USC football and our sports teams, keep it that way. No reason to discuss the Ball family either or whats going on at the school with the 80 yard practice field. You tarnish the image of our great school and long list of great athetes who have done great things .. Max will always be a Trojan, his skills did not work for USC.. He may thrive in his new environment.. Max is a upstanding young guy, maybe you can learn from him..

      • Funny how this guy is worried about what the critics say instead of what Nikias and Haden have done to tarnish the image of our great school.

        • marv Max Nikias is in a very tight place of his and USC’s own making.

Consider – he ‘knew’ something a year ago (incident in Pasadena occurred in March 2016) which lead to Pofiriato announcing he was leaving USC. There was a big gala held last April, announcing Pofiriato’s departing with accolades booming all over how great he was (and the guy was he raised $400 million for the med school as dean).

Now this past Friday 21st July after the scandal broke a week ago today 17th July – Nikias decides to rake Pofiriato over the coals with some really ugly remarks.

Question to Max Nikias – what prompted you to allow this superstar to leave last year if you suddenly are acting like you knew nothing until last Monday of his shenanigans?

Nikias should resign before this scandal is used nationwide to dissuade scholars and students to attend USC. Oh yeah and ‘out’ that coward Haden while we’re at it.

Neither Haden, with Nikias’ backing, thought a thing about pillorying Bush and removed his Heisman.

          Hey Pat where are you?

          • The Haden charity scandal was indicative of the lack of ethics of the Nikias administration. I hope the Times resumes the Haden investigation and forces the Board to remove Haden from his role with the Coliseum.

          • I sent an E-mail to them requesting the reporters who first uncovered the Mayr scandal find out what if anything has or was done to Haden.

          • Goop you’re quite the contradiction; on one hand you’re outraged by the unethical and contemptible Slapsy Maxie and “St Pat”; and, on the other you embrace Trump the traitor’s political agenda.

          • Making USC and America Great Again is only a contradiction to America haters like you.

          • Just curious, Marv, as you are a rabid Trojan. Will a good football season put all of this shenanigans onto a back burner? I have always thought that football was the tail that wagged the dog at SC but based on some of these comments, perhaps I have been wrong in my assessment.

          • USC used to be like that, but under Steve Sample’s leadership and Nikias continued guidance the school has become a respected academic institution while maintaining the football tradition. So, to answer your question, a scandal involving Nikias and academics does bother most Trojans.

          • Well, sounds like progress. Thanks for the non snarky response. I have had eye surgery at Keck and everyone was terrific. It was quite a surprise.

        • Not sure if your response was directed to me.. Sure, I am alarmed as an alum of how Haden, and now Nikias have tarnished the schools reputation. It seems every school across the US has issues.. For me-us and USC it should be a concern. Haden and Nikias are/were appointed to watch over one of the elite programs and learning institutions in the world .. You have to do your job as promised and convey honesty and integrity.. There is no middle ground when you are a leader placed in a position of power.. I for one hope the BOTs request his resignation.. If they don’t shame on them too..

          • Whose ‘resignation’ are you alluding to? Nikias? Haden? The medical college dean already resigned – who? Understand those two (Nikias and Haden) aren’t going anywhere unless they’re forcibly voted out (Nikias) or fired (Haden).

          • The BOTs and Nikias and Haden are all part of the same club. They look out for each other – as do all group members of those elite, moneyed, so-called teams. You start making waves, you better make sure nobody turns on you because there’s a lot to lose in that world.

Nikias will hang on even though he’s now viewed as weak. USC would promote from within to take his place and that’s just not happening. Those people are all loyal to Nikias, as he was to Sample.

The investigation will point to some correctible system holes that can be easily fortified. It’s all about the money anyway. Nikias ain’t going anywhere, unless he actually wanted to split, and now would not be the time if he did, which he doesn’t.

There’s a lot of amazing, great people at multi-layered USC. Now we know Nikias isn’t one of them. I didn’t know he was lame until now. Some lessers will take the fall. Don’t expect public exposures as silent departures will be part of their package.

Anyway, that’s my take. Hope it turns out different and that Nikias is a goner. I just don’t see the BOTs turning on him. Only God knows the favors they owe.

          • I don’t know the background to all this, Jack —-but is this door still open for Nikias? “I was told that there had been an incident involving the Dean of the Medical School and a woman who’d had too much to drink —–although I found this unseemly—-and asked him to step away from the university for a period of time— I had no indication of the true scope of the Dean’s outrageous behavior until this past week.”

          • The Bots have in many cases known as much as Nikias, I presume. They’ve probably been offering their advice to Nikias, in addition to legal, all along.

The big problem is the LA Times got tipped long ago and USC stuck its head in the sand all that time. So now, it’s just a giant cluster, made much worse by inaction.

But I don’t see the BOTs wrecking Nikias since I believe some of them have known about this all along and never advised Nikias to respond differently. Somewhat like foxes guarding the hen house I believe.

It’s just much easier for all if Nikias gets to keep his job, especially since he rakes in donations like money grows on trees. USC had a big time drug user in charge of Keck. We’ll pay the price and already have. The most important thing now is getting high quality people in charge of Keck going forward, with some big pub attached.

          • So, in sum —-proceed well under the radar for the next year (i.e., a bad week doesn’t have to turn into a bad year)? Hey, it worked for Haden!

          • The Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher lawyer will make her recommendations which USC will scrupulously follow to a T, as reported by the Times. My bet is they leave Nikias alone. Wouldn’t do a lot of good to overly ruin your acting university president, would it?

          • Yeah, that seems about right (unless something more is lurking out there—I don’t think Max can withstand one more nasty surprise this year)…..

  3. Wolfy,
Any news on O.J’s first meal after they cut him loose?
    What about golf?
    Is he dating?
Did his kids pick him up at the joint?
Will he be on the Drama U’s sidelines this season?
    Come on! report the news!

    • OJ will visit with Darryl Henley first upon his release, unsure the boy will be available since he serving a 41 year sentence.. Maybe he can show the jughead how to get out of prison by lying to the parole board.. But doubt he has a clue being a stupid bruin .. Lol … Maybe I’ll put a hit on the judge.. Lol that shows how stupid bruins are.. Aside from arrogant.. Have a nice night pinhead!

      • That’s about right…Trojan murderer back on the streets while Henley does his time. Cheat on!

          • Funny how the dirtbags are all over this board…nothin to talk about on their own.. like if the nerve surgery on rosen’s shoulder fixed his lack of nerve in the pocket…

          • Lol. I notice.. I am traveling and was looking at comments and of course shared my thoughts.. The only thing that comes to mind is they are jealous of USC and all that USC represents. Most if not all Bruins wanted to be Trojans, but their 1.5 gpa’s could not get them into USC.. So they bash USC out of anger for their own stupidity.. It is what it is..

        • If the public school da Marcia would have spent as much time on the case in front of her, as she did worrying about her looks, he might well have been convicted, as he should have been.

    • USC 36
      Ucla 14

      #Josh Rosen played 5 games!
      #Bruin Revolution!
      #We Own This Town!

      • bozo u owns nothing since they’re 2 – 3 in the last five games or a less the stellar, 400 wpct.

Start the excuses, excuses, excuses whine Sammy.

Alabama 52 – bozo u 6 and zero TD’s. Hickory, dickory dock, the bozos really sock.

    • j, You’re slipping
For someone who pays as much attention to USC as you do, you should know OJ won’t actually be released until October.

      • J Meth is so stupid. His Troll-life is devoted to OJ and all things USC but he still doesn’t even know the basics.
