Position Switches

Keyshawn Young has been at wide receiver after playing cornerback last season. With 11 scholarship wide receivers, does it really make sense to move him there? Especially when cornerback has some questions? Perhaps tailback Dominic Davis will add to cornerback depth now. But Young’s move was still a little questionable.

Well Scottie, I’m sure the position coaches and Helton thoroughly discussed this move. I really don’t think that they throw a bunch of crap against the wall and see what sticks.

You mean the old “bunch of crap against the wall” doesn’t work?

      • SCgrad12

        Just ask Sark and Kiffin.

      • UtahTrojan

Wolf has been doing that for years.

Here’s a concept… Why don’t you ask the coaches about the change?

    • SCgrad12

James, that would take effort and initiative.

Face it. The USC coaches don’t respect SW enough to give him any meaningful answers. Even SW understands this, so he doesn’t even try.

The move’s a complete non-issue for now. Any ramifications won’t be seen for at least a year, assuming the switch even sticks.

You hit the nail on the head. Remember Big Joe McDonnell? The reason he got at the inside info was that he had the respect of players and coaches. Can’t say the same about Wolf and he brought it all on himself.

            Big Joe, RIP.

And it would take actually understanding what your job was and fulfilling the responsibility to do it to the best of your abilities.

Rose Bowl Wins at last count…Helton 1 Wolf 0. I’ll go with Helton’s opinion on this one for now.

It seems the consensus here is that perhaps the coaching staff knows what they are doing and Wolf is looked upon with disdain. I agree 100%
