  1. Part of a coach’s job is to evaluate where each player fits in the scheme of things. This is not just for the best of the team but also to utilize the players abilities in the best possible way. I am pretty sure the coaches realize how the numbers breakout and are not concerned at this point about what local writers think about their decisions. This could be a test of the player’s ability to fill in in a future need or even a coach’s request to see an athlete in a different situation. I am not losing any sleep over this issue.
