Former Arkansas coach Frank Broyles died today at age 92. Broyles faced USC three times (1972-74). The Trojans won in 1972 and 1973. But Arkansas handed USC its only loss in 1974, a 22-7 setback. USC went on to win the national title.
But to many USC fans, Broyles was better known as an ABC analyst. Above, USC plays Arkansas in 1973 at the Coliseum. And yes, that is Lynn Swann. Below, Broyles announces the 1978 USC-Notre Dame game with Keith Jackson.
Great guy – won a ‘NC’ back in 1964 after ‘the princess’ and Parseghian sat on that football against MI St. and settled for a 10 – 10 tie – AR squeezed through with that 11 – 0 record.
idiot, what’s the point of searching the internet for archaic facts to regurgitate on this blog? it’s wolf’s job to decide what info is pertinent.
either start you own blog (readership 2 total) or STFU!

I thought that 10-10 tie between MI State and ND was in 1966.
Oh man I should of had a V-8! Yer right 100% right – mea maxima culpa! It was USC’s upset of ‘the princess’ that sealed the deal that was given AR.
Sorry
Fight On!
