Matt Fink Is The Backup QB

The coaches finally admitted today that Matt Fink is getting more reps at quarterback as they obviously want him to be the backup. That means Jack Sears would redshirt in a perfect situation barring injuries. But in a slight twist, Clay Helton and the staff admitted Jalen Greene could still play QB even without practice reps. I wouldn’t rule him out if Sam Darnold gets hurt.

  1. Wolf you are setting yourself up. What if Fink had to come in and did something exceptional. There you are looking stupid…AGAIN!!!

    • Sounds nearly identical to the scenario back in 2015 when Kessler was the starter and Browne was deemed the heir apparent with the unknown or untested Darnhold in the wings – time will tell.

  2. Jack Sears hasn’t looked very good so far and has been beat out by Fink. That’s unanimous.

  3. According to sources, Jack Sears was seen at the Dennys off of Avenida Pico in San Clemente crying while eating his chicken fried steak that Helton is biased against surfers from San Clemente… Only reason Sam Darnald starts is because he looks like a country bumpkin. He told his girlfriend that he wants to transfer to SDSU for a fair coach and better academics.
