Will USC Kickers Perform In Games? Maybe. Maybe Not.

USC special teams coach John Baxter always seems to be aware of the media. Here’s what he said about concerns over the kickers during training camp.

“I know casually from the sideline everybody worries about the result. The result matters in the games. I can’t predict it. It might go good and it might not. But regardless of what happens, I’m here to coach them.”

That settles it. I guess. Or maybe not.

I say go for two. If the accuse us of running up the score shrug and say, “the media says we have no kicker”

Didn’t we make only 60% of our Field Goals in the Rose Bowl? Don’t think we’ll do any worse this year.

Next time you see Baxter SW, tell him you don’t know what he’s talking about.

The statement is very clear actually, so on second thought, keep your confusion to yourself SW.

Others reported that what Baxter said was that he didn’t count makes and misses in camp..they don’t matter because they use multiple combinations of snappers and holders. It’s camp. Talk to him in another week or two.

It’s just stupid to think that SW tries to take on John Baxter, one of the nation’s most experienced and truly elite special teams coaches.

Baxter is so far beyond in his thinking what SW can even fathom, it’s worth the price of admission. A good example of coming to this blog to laugh at SW.

Many of these misses are being snapped and held by kids who’ll not see the field short of a catastrophe. Some even by Jake, and does he even mention it? Nah. Not enough click bait.

We had same situation last year but everyone forgets, and look how that ended up..

Last year Whiny Wolfy asked Baxter a very disrespectful question caught on video. Baxter first starred him down, went to another reporter’s question.
Besides special teams,Baxter is an excellent TE coach.
Curious who is our kick off kicker?

          • Pudly76

So far competition is “open”, but Brown is getting most kicks into or through end zone.

I suspect that Baxter’s snappy response was due to frequent encounters with nebbishes like you, Scott.

Wouldn’t it be fun to have a daily press conference and ask Wolf’s editor about his inane sentence structure and general butchery of the English language? How long before he blows his stack?

Flow, leave it up to the professionals who make at least 10 times more than you do. Please. For all of us.
