Matt Boermeester Seeks To Reverse Expulsion From USC

Former USC kicker Matt Boermeester filed a petition to overturn his expulsion. The most interesting part seems to be USC’s response. It says Zoe Katz, Boermeester’s girl friend, described previous abuse a part of an “ ‘on and off’ again relationship” with Boermeester.

USC says Katz expressed fear of Boermeester’s reaction to her original statement in a text message to a Title IX investigator. At that point, Boermeester was not aware a report had been made.

”He can’t know I made a statement,” one text read from Katz read, according to the filing. “Can you not tell him I made a statement.”

USC’s filing said Katz told investigators she “often had bruises on her legs or arms” from Boermeester, who “would hit her or grab her tightly when he was angry.”

“She reported that the physical contact and become ‘more often and more hurtful’ and that bruising had become more commonplace recently because Petitioner had become ‘more angry,” the filing read. “She said that when she did not do what Petitioner wanted, she would get bruised.”

  1. I’m going to believe the supposed victim before I would ever believe Title IX Nazis.

Everything in USC’s response (which paints a vastly different picture than comments from Zoe Katz) is suspect because of the method by which it was obtained, not to mention the reputation of the people extracting that information.

    • So Judge Judy, you’re claiming the bozo u is deliberately committing perjury in its motion to dismiss Boermeester’s third attempt to overturn his University expulsion.

Remind the blog Ms. Judy, what facts do you base your lame, opinionated accusations. Did you have lunch with 22 and goop, + a F**k News indoctrination today?

When does the Todd McNair trail start?

      • Hey Owns, I have some good news for you! To avoid offending Violent Democrats like you, Robert Lee, the Asian ESPN college football announcer, NOT Robert E. Lee, the Confederate General in the War Between the States (who died in 1870 and shares a name with him), was switched to the Youngstown State at Pittsburgh game and Dave Weekley will now call the William and Mary at University of Virginia game this Saturday so you won’t suffer a microaggression and go out and riot.

Unless, of course, the Clinton News Network digs up dirt on Dave Weekley and you full mooner Democrat kooks take down his statues between now and kickoff.

        • 22 reports that Robert Lee is not Robert E. Lee, who died in 1870. In that same vein, USC doesn’t stand for the University of South Carolina, est 1807.

What 22 doesn’t report is that although Donnie Boy, not the Dutch Boy, who died in 1607, loudly proclaims that Mexico WILL/MUST/SHALL (pick one 22) pay for the Trump Wall, Trump commands the US Congress to fund, to the tune of 1.6 billion $$$$, so he can start his wall.

Seems to me that’s a fart of a deal, not the art of a deal.

          • Poor Owns had a stroke after Trump’s speech last night! So fun seeing you creeps get shamed.

    • It is the perverse incentive of the Title 9 Kangaroo Court to find abuse in order to get Federal funds. The more cases of abuse, the more funding. The Kangaroo Court is not in the business of finding facts but finding abuse. How many cases do they dismiss or deny? Katz and Boermeister were apparently intimate and according to Katz they wrestled and played at roughhousing for fun, as they were both athletes. How many bruises did Boermeister have? Does Katz have a black belt in karate? Does she do weight training? Does she play football or rugby with guys? Sounds like the court is sexist in reverse.

I tried to evict a tenant recently. The tenant filed for a Temporary Restraining Order against me with no evidence of abuse other than I shoved a piece of paper into this hands to give him notice to vacate the housing. No police report, nothing. But it cost me $5,000 in legal fees to get a court to deny the allegation of abuse and the possibility of a 5-year restraining order on the public record (which can result in a professional losing their license to practice). The court did not comply with the Evidence Code in ordering a Temporary Restraining Order. The culprit: the Family Court gets more Federal funding the more abuse cases it handles. The same happens to farmers who inadvertently plow a pond on their land; guilty before proven innocent and must pay huge fines out of proportion to the offense. What is being protected in all these cases is the jobs, sinecures and social status of the the Soviet style quasi-judicial bodies and their apparatchiks who operate without police reports to enforce “political correctness”.

      • Snore, but loved the Culprit BS bit. Definitely a slum Lord mantra.

But your Honor, I just collects the rent.

        • You should know about skipping on rent. Oh, wait, you live with your mom, so maybe she knows.

        • Before you call someone a slumlord, it so happens that I gave free rent to a relative until they received an insurance settlement and then they refused to move out and tried to extort me. No good deed goes unpunished.

        • how you liking TRUMP’S America, where Nazi’s are boldly waking the streets loud and proud cause Trump has their backs??

          • it’s called the Man-Ziere.

(actually on closer inspection, you will see that is actually my barbering shears from when i was know as Brutus “the Barber” Beefcake. story behind that is the scissors were too hard for the people to see very well, but when i busted out the hedge trimmer, the crowd went ape!!!)

          • Met the Brutai here in Northridge riding motor cycles with the Hulkster. Those were the good old days of the WWF now WWE. Agree with your comment about Trump & lowlifes marching like the stupid idiots they are. It is sad how many Trojans that post here are such right wing conservatives who most likely didn’t attend USC. A shame politics have to be included in the sports on this blog.

  2. Ugly, let’s hope the court can find the truth and exact some justice either way. Plenty of people to testify, her father, friends, neighbors, video.

  3. Well written… We all know what a stickler the Wolfster is on spelling and grammar mistakes.

  4. Wait this was just not playing around in the front yard on the grass? By the way full depth chart will be given on Sunday night.

    • Thank God. What would we do without the full depth chart? Isn’t it impossible to watch games or follow the team without that?

  5. Truly sad story on so many levels. With the consecutive Massina?Hill expulsions and now Boermeester, I certainly hope that the coaching staff is going over this periodically with the team.
I may be wrong but these guys are in a unique position where they shouldn’t have any problems meeting girls so if the first one isn’t a match go onto the next one until you find one that is in sync with you. There really isn’t any good reason why they are getting into these situations. I know it’s easier said than done but that is why the coaching staff should bring it up periodically given that a mistake may cost the player his education and potential football livelihood.

    • Both the Times and Daily News have a near identical account listing: chain of events, filings, statements, denials etc.

The entire scenario unfolded because a coach was told by his son what a friend had seen and the coach was required, by law, to report it – down the rabbit hole.

Most foolish admission was that none of the questionings were recorded between Katz and USC officials. There is a video camera recording of this specific incident and it seems to confirm, according to those who’ve seen it, there was nothing aside from horseplay – the video was released by USC for review.

The problem here is that Katz told other 3rd parties that Boermeester was very aggressive and got ticked and physically threatening when what he wanted her to do she declined to do.

Normally I’d side with the player but man how come the other 60+ haven’t fallen off a cliff the way Boermeester has? The kicker is she didn’t report him another party did.

    • So True agent 13, words of wisdom. Do you mean keep looking until you can find a girl that can take a punch?

  6. wow. the FACTS come out and all the DUMMIES who defended this punk are looking like, well, DUMMIES.

at the time of the complaint, the victim is covered with bruises, and is terrified of the punk, obviously fearful of being clobbered again.

SC better be CAREFUL here….they are already known as the most NOTORIOUS school when is comes to alums with history of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. SC does not DARE bring back this woman-beating PUNK!!

    #UniversityOfOJ

  7. So,SC seems to think the two different versions means? she is a schizo? so nothing is credible? her recent comments a retraction at least, a lie? no reasonable doubt here? anyone ever lie and then retract the lie…or is the lie the report? we have not heard the last of this.

  8. I know you dummies are hard up for a kicker who can get the football off the ground but He choked her and pushed her up against the wall smashing her head against it! Any decent human-being would not want him around…

    You dummies are a disgrace….

    • Really? You can’t spell “suck” without a “u”, an “s”, and a “c”? How long did it take you to figure that out? What about the “k”…seems to be lodged sideways upyerazz.

  9. For the record…….we better not compare Kobe to LeBron when it comes to players loving LeBron more now because Kyrie Irving made a huge circus in saying “i won’t play with Lebron”. And truthfully it’s sad because it’s gonna cost them championships. Now get off my boy Kobe.

    • What do you think of that trade, sas? Did the Celtics break up their chemistry to take a no defense malcontent?

      • The Celtics robbed Cleveland. I don’t know what Cleveland was thinking. Isaiah Thomas has a bad hip and will most likely require hip surgery. Not good . Plus they say Thomas won’t sign long term when the time comes. Terrible read for Cleveland. Excellent trade for Boston.

  10. When this story originally broke, many came to Matt’s defense.. I said, there has to be more to this story… At this point, USC needs to show its hands and counter with facts and from what I have read and heard, Matt should not be reinstated .. It sad that the “victim”, his girlfriend, is a victim too.. The Title lX process is a joke..

For those of you cracking jokes, it show how ignorant you truly are..

Domestic Violence needs to be addressed. Of my 30 years in the sports and the entertainment industry, violence against women has become common.. Its truly sad and its not up for debate as a joke.. The victim could be someone you know.

**]Hey Bruin fans you are better than this *** .. It could hit your “home” sooner than you think!

      • The processes were handled completely wrong.. Other than Matt getting removed and suspended as he should have, the IX9 had numerous missteps dealing with the victim ..

  11. The most damning accounts, if not evidence, are what two witnesses claimed Katz said to them after the alleged altercation– that she was crying, very upset and scared of Boermeester.

    The kid is dead.
