Coliseum At Night

The Coliseum was all lit up tonight. Perhaps a nod to Wednesday’s official IOC vote in Peru to award the 2024 Olympics to Paris and 2028 to Los Angeles.

  1. It is the sole extant major stadium left in the nation with a history un matched by any other venue.

    • Well the trolls might holler something about the Rose Bowl but I don’t see the comparison. That place is used for one major event on the first of each year. After that it’s just good for swap meets and stuff like that.
The coliseum has actual Olympic sites attached like those headless statues and the torch. The rose bowl has Olympic benches outside of their restrooms.

      • Entire world???
Maybe your strange little world but if you mention the Coliseum to “the world” they wouldn’t think of LA, genius.

  2. Let’s see, Jamelle Hill of ESPN tweets that President Trump is a white supremist and is unfit to hold office, and is not fired. In a statement, ESPN says that they have reprimanded Hill for her tweet and sincerely apologizes. Not surprisingly, Curt Shilling makes a statement “critical” of Obama and is immediately fired by ESPN. Can you say, “double standard?” But the kicker is the other Hero of the Stupid, Colin Kaepernick, the one who grew up in a middle class home in Turlock, CA., not in low socio economic standards like he thinks, tweeted support for Hill. And you wonder why you’re not employed Colin. Like they say, you can’t fix stupid.

  3. No, Scott, St. Pat was having a cocktail party to celebrate his new charity the “LA Olympic Scholarship Fund”
