USC-Texas A Sell Out

USC announced the Texas game is officially a sell out. USC’s last home sellout was in 2013 against Stanford. There’s always StubHub!

    • One thing i’ve heard which may contribute is that they count season ticket holders as present, whether they are or not.

          • Next up the urinals. They ran out of gloves but he’ll just use rags. He doesn’t care. What a trooper.

        • I didn’t write it out correctly. I meant to say they count season ticket holders as being in attendance even if they’re not there. Which is why the announced attendance always seems higher than it looks. I wasn’t thinking when I posted my first comment.

        • Networks also set a minimum attendance number to consider it a sell out. May apply only to NFL for purpose of local blackouts

  1. I watched UCLA roll Texas in their house 66-3.
SoCal may come close to that beat-down of the Longhorns.

  2. That’s too bad. I guess i’m forced to watch the game in my theater room, 1080p projector broadcasting on a 120″ Firehack screen
    Life sucks!

  3. Joel Klatt was on PMS today (3:50 pm) stated the only team that would possibly be able to defeat USC today is AL. he then stated that he was equally impressed with Stanford and would not be surprised to see Stanford as Pac-12 North victor and it is unlikely Stanford lose more than one more game an that loss won’t be to bel-air tech.

He stated the reason Stanford is still a top tier program because this was the first time anyone had gained>600 yds. against a David Shaw squad. As such, per Klatt, that speaks volumes of how incredibly talented USC is.

Klatt also stated TX is in for a severe beat down based on their squad and the lack of tackling against MD i.e. teams don’t suddenly gain skill two weeks after a humiliating beat down – the coaching and talent aren’t there.

He said the beat down this Saturday will be significant due to what he saw last Saturday

    • Saw the horns against the terps, it wasn’t as close as the score indicated. horns scored on defense a couple times and special teams. Offense was just terrible.

      • I think Klatt used to come off anti-USC. He seems to have turned the corner now that the USC has gotten overwhelmingly huge bandwagon support – led by Cowherd of course.

        • That’s the same read I got from Klatt also. His perception of the Trojans sure has changed. I think USC is starting to get the national respect it once commanded

          • There’s no doubt about the Klatt change. He used to be a hater.

I expect some others to pull the switchover too, so we’ll see when/if Desmond Howard gets objective.

But we’ve had some big-timers like Lee Corso and Herbie on our side for quite awhile, so we can’t complain.

          • I think Howard’s attitude forwards USC is somewhat influenced from his days as a player at ND….I could be wrong

          • He was a MICH/Schembechler player. Same diff though.

Midwest vs Left Coast. Grind it vs glamour. A lot of people wanted to slap at SC when we were down. A lot.

But to Helton’s credit, we’re up big with a lot of great players and it makes it a lot tougher to play the negative Trojan angle without looking biased, or dumb.

          • I was at the MICH/ND game in Ann Arbor when the Rocket returned two KOs for TDs, leading to an Irish win. I missed one of them when I was in the head. The roar of the crowd told me all I needed to know.

The Rocket was truly amazing. He never translated to the pros. So hard to predict that.

          • Must of been an awesome experience.
I was at 1992 rose bowl game, it was a thrill I will never forget. Mark Brunell was a childhood friend of mine.

          • He was 1991 RB MVP. The following season during the spring game Steve Emtman hit Mark low and tore his ACL. He returned midway through the season. He didn’t start the 1992 RB game, but saw action and throw a TD pass late in the game. He started the 1993 RB in a loss to Mich.
In 2015, Brunell was inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame.

        • If true, I’m looking forward to their conversation. Cowherd has no problem showing his love for USC football. …..and the best part, Wolf despises the guy(cowherd)

    • USC come ready to play a whole game. If your coasting you could loose! If your A game is not put forward you could be handed a loss
