    • F UUCLA E-MAIL OF THE DAY

Remember how f uucla tripled season ticket prices and booted long time season ticket holders after the 8-5 2015 season? Looks like AD Dan Guerrero is no Mike Garrett when it comes to selling season tickets. Those empty seats were no aberration. They can’t sell season tickets on the 40 yard line. This was sent to a disgruntled f uccla aquaintance of mine today:

“Your Bruins are 2-0 following a historic comeback against Texas A&M of the SEC and a decisive victory over Hawai’i where we scored 56 points. We have an incredible talent and potential national award winner at quarterback in Josh Rosen of Manhattan Beach. Additionally, we have talented playmakers including true freshman Darnay Holmes of Pasadena and Jaelan Phillips of Redlands. However, what we don’t have yet is YOU in the stands supporting our team. And we want YOU back!

      We hope that changes today.

For a limited time, we are offering exclusively to YOU, as a former season ticket holder, the opportunity to join us for each of the four remaining regular season home games at the Rose Bowl for just $99! The seats will be guaranteed in our Elite sections 5-L, 4-H, 5-H and 4-L surrounding the 50-yard line, located through tunnels 4 and 5, with exact seat locations to be available for download via your mobile device as you arrive at the Rose Bowl on gameday.

We ask that you please act quickly, as the first 100 accounts to take advantage of this exclusive deep discount will receive a complimentary donor parking permit to the September 30 “White Out” game. This exclusive offer is only available over the phone with myself and my colleagues on the UCLA Athletics Ticket Sales and Service team. Limit of 8 seats per customer and subject to availability.

To secure your spot at the Rose Bowl for the remainder of the 2017 football season, please call me at 310-206-9945.

We hope this incentivizes you to come back to support the team we know you love, as we want YOU back. We look forward to hearing from you.

      Thank you,

      • Doubtful. He’s got a lot of urinals to clean at the Rose Bowl before he could even consider starting with the toilets.

      • Dan Guerrero constantly shows what an incompetent AD he truly is.

I tried to tell this to 88Straight and the guy defends DG. Unbelievable.

Great for USC though I guess.

When was the last time USC and UCLA were ranked 1 and 2. 1967?

In basketball, UCLA making it into the Sweet Sixteen is a major accomplishment these days for Dan Guerrero.

        • ‘The 66 Guns’ will always fall on his sword for anything out of bel-air tech…notice how he gleefully hoped there’d be more junk about USC after I noted AD Davis in a Rolls back in 1970 ,and when I asked that clown to give up something on his tax supported trash hole…nothing. He’s like a every democrat I’ve ever met…’…your side is all evil but my side is perfect.’

Hey ‘the 66 Guns’ when did bel-air tech scheme to steal Cal’s fight song? Why can’t bel-air tech compose their own after nearly 70 years?

woodie….why did you have to die…if only…..Harrick was a fraud but what Dallis freaked out about Gilbert, Morgan and especially you woodrow that you all were so skilled at Harrick was a piker…. oh why did you ‘woodrow’ have to leave us?

          • JD Morgan refused to hire Wooden assistant Denny Crum and the result is 4 decades of nothing. Crum only transformed a backwater called Louisville into a national power.

          • Oh man yeah! Crum was his own man unlike the ‘wizard’ and Morgan knew it. No more ‘hush hush sweet woodrow let Uncle Sammy run the team.’

          • JD disliked Crum and UCLA paid a huge price for that. UCLA has a history of incompetent bureaucrats as AD’s like Pete Dalis. Dan is no different. I once stated that Dan isn’t going anywhere, meaning that he won’t be fired. There is a troll that isn’t too bright that interprets that as an endorsement of Guerrero. Dan will retire in a few years. We will see if the culture of bureaucrats continues.

          • Nothing like the vodka kicking in and you swallowing the lies and intellectual shortcomings of a little troll that was banned from the UCLA site.

I don’t need to re-litigate all that went on during the McKay and Robinson era. It’s as well known as the Sam Gilbert stuff. The Anthony Davis car was only one of several things. If I recall, SC ended up on probation post-McKay as did UCLA post-Wooden.

He seems to have found a home here and you can lap up his fictions and long diatribes against everything UCLA while he claims to be a Bruin. Heck, he even claimed to be a UCLA grad at one point! Comrade, I know where you are coming from. You are a Trojan and upfront about your dislike for UCLA. Weasels are another matter entirely. Enjoy him.

          • Well man up white bread what exactly do you have that is known about McKay and Robinson? John Robinson’s team was sanctioned – was ‘woodrow’s’? was anything ever done while the woordrow was at the helm? nothing….never a thing done to woodrow nor to that equally corrupt Morgan

          • I had a friend that played for McKay who suddenly came home with a new sports car. He came from a family with little money. Marv Goux was nailed for selling players tickets and giving the players the money. In the Seth Davis book on Wooden, the UCLA basketball players were looking to get “taken care” of like their friends on the SC football team. It was also mentioned that Morgan was supposed to handle the Sam Gilbert problem but he was afraid he’d end up floating face down in his own swimming pool.

It doesn’t appear that the NCAA was interested in going after either McKay or Wooden. They went after their successors

You may notice that SC was on probation in the early 80’s for violations that took place from 1971-1979. Bear in mind that you wanted to go down this path. What happened over 40 years ago means little to me.

          • I get it – kid had a brand new sports car and you, used to seeing how Sammy took care of the dudes at bel-air tech well hey how’d this happen? Boy unlike Walton bragging on how Gilbert took care of him and the rest, now there’s some proof!

You still don’t get it and never will – wooden never got hit for anything for the decades he coached and in particular his glory years – unlike John Robinson nothing was ever brought to bear against him….that saint walked …. he came year after year to Pauley and sat there as the adoring corrupt 4th estate here in LA never dared ask ye olde grandpa from he)) anything about Sam Gilbert. The latest tome written about him where he was interviewed, it was barely looked at.

Wooden is like the Kennedy family – don’t matter what they ever did or have done they never ever had to play by the same rules as the rest did. It’s the reason Boyd had no respect for him …wooden’s phony moralizing….

Unlike wooden, Bartow had the stones to confront Gilbert. Gilbert took one look at wooden and knew ‘….what a putz!’

          • Try reading the link I provided and doing a little research. SC went on probation in 1984 for stuff that happened between 1971-1979. Mc Kay was as SC during those years. Marv Goux worked for both McKay and Robinson. Tutors wrote papers for players and players had jobs that they didn’t need to show up for to get a check. You can deny it all you want. I don’t care. It was a long time ago. You may need some eye drops though, once you pull your head out of the sand.

          • Go to the devil – you know why clown? because yeah there it is black and white and USC got hit and hit hard and that’s difference white bread wooden never did, no titles were ever vacated only meaningless games….it all took place on his watch and he never ever took the hit

            bye bye

          • You opened the subject, Comrade. McKay never got nailed either. That seems to escape you. UCLA got hit later and vacated a Final Four in 1980.

Last time I checked, all this stuff happened over 40 years ago and you are still stewing in it. Wooden’s dead. McKay’s dead. Nixon’s dead. So is Ford and Reagan. Only Jimmy Carter remains from that time. He is as irrelevant as the events you are still ranting about.

      • Man what a back hand slap at how truly pathetic they are:

Yeah four great home games against: CO, OR, AZ St. and CA – the sole game worth a darn is OR ‘maybe’ CO. Even more amazing is that their game against CA is set for 7:30 pm PST! There is no major game set for mid day save ‘maybe’ ‘the princess’ @ Stanford (no time set for the start yet).

Who runs that clown asylum in westwood? You have a ‘clear’ day with no credible programs playing after 3:00 pm PST and you choose to play @ 7:30 pm at night? I guess they’re playing their cards close to the vest lest some one step up and drag viewers away from their TV’s but you think anyone is going to want to go and sit in a cold Rose Bowl stadium on the Saturday after Thanksgiving at 7:30 pm at night?

      • Thanks, I really needed a good news story today. I Knew I could find something to smile about here…

      • Wow! goop cuts and pastes a UCLA thread and compares Guerrero to Emperor Garrett. bozo Rah-Rah’s is goop a closet UCLA fan?

Now goop, correct me if I’m wrong, but Guerrero hasn’t arrogantly and singlehandedly forced the NCAA to implement sanctions on UCLA FB. And, lest you forget goop, Guerrero is 3 – 2 in the last 5 rivalry FB games.

I think it fair to point out that unlike Emperor Garrett, Guerrero hasn’t been fired for sexual harassment in the workplace.

goop, you poor, pathetic, flat kneed amoeba, your whole life is one sad, amoral worship of F**K News, Donnie Boy, and bozo u FB.
