Pick The Score

I already made my prediction here, so now it’s your turn. With an early start, don’t wait till tomorrow. Can USC play to its level and not the level of its opponent? Make your prediction now!

  1. Goddamn. Was Western Michigan that good? Was Stanford that bad? Is Texas on the rise? Too many questions and not enough Peter Carroll-era dominance to stroll through the schedule like long ago. My hope is we clear Cal by at least 14. And in a solid performance. That would give me way more confidence facing the rest of season. Fight On.

    • I heard blowhard John Papadakis stating Pete Carroll never said ‘championship team’ especially after game 3. Well let’s say that’s true ok? So what? Clay Helton isn’t Pete Carroll anymore than Pete Carroll was John Robinson etc..

Will USC run the table? hard to say but I do know this year seems special and I’d never say that with anyone since Carroll and any Carroll team >2006. Sarkisian was the worst – – truly he was the worst.

Pete Carroll was mailing it in the last 3 years.

      Fight on!

  2. If USC can fix the Coliseum entrance gates by Saturday, even if the game is in Berkeley, then I see USC starting to put this game away late in the 2nd quarter, 45-23.

  3. 45 – 21 USC. The Trojans roll into Berkeley super ready for Trojan flop Wilcox, especially after getting scared witless by TEXAS. Carr nets 200 yds receiving and rushing. Darnold throws no picks. WRs look improved after taking major heat all week.

CAL leaves field bewildered by USC’s focus, skill and team speed. They already know losing 13 straight doesn’t bode well when you’re up against killer Darnold and his super battery-mate Burnett. I’m still not sure about SC’s OL, but I refuse to believe a DL with CAL’s talent will push them around.

    • Our defense should easily stop a Cal offense which features a running back who runs a 4.7 forty and a second string receiver filling in for their money guy —– and, you’re right, there is no way their d-line stands a chance against our 0-line, whatever problems we had against Texas. USC would have to seriously self destruct to lose this kinda game —-and Sam won’t allow that.

  4. Even during carrols dominant teams there were a lot of close games that could have gone either way. You win, learn, get better, and move on. Sc is 3 and 0. Again sc is 3 and 0. This team will run the table take that to the bank. In close games you need montana or brady or sam darnold. That kid is that poised and talented. Relax trojan nation and don’t be a prisoner of the moment. Happy days are here again.

    • The late Jim Healy always said, “Good teams win close games.” Bad teams find a way to lose close games.

    • I predict a blowout win 55-7. SC will run the table and Darnold will win the Heisman so everyone can relax.

      • Agreed. That score is just about right, gt —-unless we turn the ball over or our corners are flagged on every pass play, this should be a wipe out.

    • Dirty hippie, commie, anarchists! Why don’t they pull down their masks and throw bricks like a man?

      • Now you’ve done it and offended Owns. Those are his people. Remember the ruins are known as the Southern Branch of UC Berkeley.

      • Old men who don’t know how to change their Depends are pretty dirty too. Man up and clean up…yourself.

  5. USC by 35. Our injured get a rest and Cal is the victim of Sonny Dykes recruiting. Big second half as Cal runs out of gas on defense.

      • Lane Kiffin when asked why he didn’t recruit Josh Rosen said, “We got the one we wanted, Max Browne.”

        • If Lane is half the man I think he is, he’s already machinating to somehow team up with with Max again…..

  6. If the line opens some holes for the RBs and allows Darnold to throw some passes unhurried, USC 45 Cal 17. If the penalties continue as they have these past games and 2nd stringer O-linemen play too much, then it will be USC 17 Cal 14 in OT.

  7. They will be amped for an upset in Berkeley. The game will tell us if the team is indeed “deep” with talent, as claimed, if the first three games were a mirage, and most importantly if the coaching staff has learned anything from their mistakes so far. I don’t see a “complete” SC team yet. Prediction:

    Cal 35 – SC 31

    • No, the game to be concerned about is Washington State. Friday night at 7:30, Leach will have them ready.
