  1. President Trump is a genius !!!! By baiting the NFL, NBA, commissioners, coaches, players and media he is letting themselves “OUT” themselves as American flag hating, liberal, identity politicians – and by their own statements have done more damage to the NFL and NBA as having values 180 degrees in opposition to the center right county attitudes. Ha ha they just couldn’t keep quite and now they proven themselves to side with the radical left position – forgetting that by and large, sports fans are on the conservative side. Pete Carroll should have just S T F U and made a statement about how they are going to work hard to win the next game, but nooooooooooooooo….

  2. Hey Pete, as the grandson of a United States Marine, I’m going to exercise my Constitutional rights by telling you to kiss my a** and call it love story.

      • Absolutely. Apparently it’s divisive to stand up for our country and our flag. Yet while divisive and having personal and political views its love and quote justice. Bull-****

    • And you’re an army officer? Did you serve in the army at all? I see, so you’re resting on your grandfather’s laurels. How brave!

          • What was odd to me, at first, was the almost unanimous political ignorance and naivety of the conservative commenters on this board.

Some of the FB commentary was fun and insightful, but outside of that, nada. Good news, goux-ie, I’m busy again with things outside CFB, so you won’t be suffering my presence nearly so often. 🙂

        • You forgot the comma before “genius”.

My father, too, served in the army, and during wartime. And all my uncles, and my aunt, as a nurse, and lots of others.

Personally, I have never liked Colin K. as a QB. I suspect his troubled upbringlng is more responsible for his stance than his racial background. In addition, I agree with Jim Brown that these anthem protests provoke hostility rather than empathy. Nonetheless, there are plenty of unequal treatment issues to be addressed.

The Donald is a neurologically impaired, long-term money launderer for the Russian oligarchs, who lapsed into conspiracy with Putin. Mueller advised Manafort that he could expect to be indicted, and Manafort continued regular contact with the Donald throughout the campaign.

You can kid yourself for now, but Trump will ultimately resign or be impeached. He simply was caught in too many wiretaps conversing with others who were the subjects of FISA warrants or European intelligence services wiretaps. And Trump may still be indicted after that, and in any event, will finish his life as an outcast. His son-in-law is very likely to be indicted, and his sons.

    • As a son of an officer in the Navy and Naval Academy graduate in 1945, I’ll exercise my rights too. KMA Pete and all those who disrespect the flag. We stand for the anthem period!!!

  3. I could care less about politics tonight. I’d rather relish a Trojan win and a SUCLA loss by generously allowing the Tree to hang “58” points on the board!!! 58!!! LOL!!!

    • I’m with you. 58 points. Unbelievable. It looks lik Stanford has found their QB. Lucky for us we played them when we did.

      • Hope Shaw has the guts to stick with Costello and bench Chryst. It’s all about leadership —-and Chryst isn’t in Costello’s class in that department.

        • Could you believe how poor fuulca’s players are? It was shocking to watch them collapse after Theo Howard dropped that TD pass.

          • Oh, yes —I could believe it, marv. In fact, I expected things to go that way when the going got tough. It’s the way Mora teams play….[although, I have to hand it to Rosen —-he kept getting up off the turf…again…and again]……

  4. just be a coach Pete–I go other places to laugh at leftist political commentary. try the new york times….

    • Hey, it’s the professor here. Now I see you more clearly. You consider PC a leftist? Please… You think being a citizen is separate from being a coach? Maybe in Atlanta.

      • It’s the dunce BenGay.
You don’t consider PC a leftist? Please… he went around telling us to vote for the socialist Barack Obama. You think we want to be lectured about Black Lives Matter by a football coach?

  5. Pete says he will STAND with his players. He didn’t say kneel. Why he said anything is beyond me. Trump simply expressed his opinion, it wasn’t a directive. Everyone has a right to an opinion.

    • Our current POTUS is unlike any other before him in that his opinions are uninformed, unintelligent and unpopular to 65% of all Americans. In short, he’s a 2-bit attention seeker. Nothing more. That alone disqualifies him as leader of the free world.

      • Yes those same polls that told us your heroine Hillary would be the current POTUS. Luckily she was once again disqualified to be leader of the free world.

      • Why? Because he has the juevos to call people out on their hypocritical BS? If Pete was so concerned about this, why didn’t he sign Kaepernick to begin with? I’ve got news for you. It’s hard to feel sorry for a person who will make more in four hours of work than some AMERICANS will make in a year. It’s also hard to feel sorry for a person who will make more in one year than some AMERICANS will make in their entire lives. When viewership hits an all time low, which it is on it’s way to, then you’ll see Idiot Boy Goddell and the owners take a stand against this. Speaking of Goddell, why aren’t the players protesting him? Isn’t he trying to suspend one of their brethren six games based on flimsy evidence of domestic abuse? Again, a bunch of ill informed hypocrites.

        • He has very tiny juevos, for starters. There’s a big difference between being bold and being boneheaded. Trump has perfected the latter.

When you come off your high horse, try to learn something about WHY the players are protesting. Then get back to us. As is, you seem clueless…

          • O.K. genius, why are these multi millionaires protesting? Aside from the fact that it’s the flavor of the month protest item. Is it the fact that police officers, who put their lives on the line every day, are doing their job? In the course of their job they are sometimes required to use deadly force. Again, what exactly is their grievance? You libs are really good about raising a fuss, but 95% of the time you cannot tell the rest of us exactly what your gripe is. Let me clue you in on something, you protest the American Flag in any way, shape,or form you are barking up the wrong tree.
Here is another fact. As of today guess who has the highest selling jersey in the NFL? Alejandro Villanueva, a West Point graduate who served three tours of duty in Afghanistan, and a Pittsburgh Steeler offensive lineman, who showed real courage while his cowardly coaches and teammates stood in the locker room.

          • Bust a vein, Gomer. Reading your hysterical rants, it’s difficult to imagine how you ever got accepted at SC. Or do you work in the facilities department?

          • Exactly, you have no intelligent rebuttal so you so go to the liberal playbook and start calling me names. You forgot to mix in racist, homophobe, xenophobe, etc. Go back to elementary school, junior.

    • Insulting people like 45 does no good. Everyone has a right to their opinion, but cursing and insulting groups of people- always minorities it seems- doesn’t seem presidential.

      • Disrespecting the country does no good. You liberals are destroying the fabric that holds the country together. If we can’t even agree to disagree and honor the flag at the national anthem then we can’t agree on anything.

      • I wouldn’t ordinarily get into a conversation like this on the internet —but I like and respect you, Arturo —so let me suggest a possible explanation for the lack of, say, ‘appreciation’ for Pete’s statement that we’re witnessing on this site. While an extraordinary coach, Pete has proven countless times that he cares for only 2 things (1) Pete and (2) the bottom line (in that order). So when Pete writes a jacksy-offsky Manifesto and sends it out to the world, it arouses a certain amount of suspicion (in the sincerity department).

      • That’s just it. I’m not a liberal. But I know that not all Republican leaders are worthy. I do not follow blindly, because someone is a Republican leader, even the President! This moron is not a great leader! He is not in it for our great country! He is in it for the Donald! He will go down as the worst President of all time!

        • Sure you aren’t. You’re too ashamed to admit you voted for Hillary. Now there’s a moron. Bill Clinton’s campaign manager just admitted it.

  6. I don’t know what any of this means. Nobody said you can’t stand with your players, actually that’s what Trump told them they should do when the National Anthem plays.

    • Clearly, if one isn’t blinded by partisan politics or unable to reason because of low IQ, Pete Carroll is 100% correct… as are the 65% of Americans who don’t support the Divider In Chief. Clearly.

      • Clearly you are blinded by partisan politics and have a low IQ so you have to mock others. Obama divided this nation like no other. Keep on quoting your fake news polls in your DNC talking points you parrot.

        • Incredible how the micro-minds assume politics in my post (where there is none — saying the kneelers are dividers is not political), state politics and then blame the infusion of politics.

          • You’re making a distinction which will never be entirely clear in Little Traveler’s mind……
            #But,ThenAgain,FewThingsProbablyAre….

          • Censored again! You can’t say F in front of UGLY?

Rephrased: sometimes people see something of mine with those 5 letters F followed by some others. They immediately assume I am from USC — as if one must be from USC to despise ucla!!!

      • Partisan politics says Trayvon was murdered. Forensic evidence says the opposite. Aboma unlawfully tried to make a federal case out of it and THEY FOUND NOTHING to support any wrong doing.
Trayvon is a major piece of the BS Kaperscmuck movement which is THE divisive, hate-filled call for dehumanizing police officers. Michael Brown as well.

        Clearly.

          • Truth is always so very hard for you people while lies flow like water over Niagara Falls.

          • troller and her fellow libs still grieve for the Gentle Giant, the street thug who tried to kill a police officer. What a sad day it must have been for you dolts when the Obama Justice Department determined he was attacking a police officer.

      • troller is so deluded she actually thinks she is a impartial voice of reason bragging about all her abortions on her left wing feminazi websites.

  7. Pete, I’m confused. You are wrapping yourself in the Constitution and claiming to be against divisiveness. However, aren’t the players making the their protest while 0n-the-job? It would seem that the NFL supports BLM and other progressive causes. We all know from numerous firings that a private company doesn’t have to allow employees speech on company time. In fact, it doesn’t have to allow employee speech on social media or private time. Doesn’t seem like a Constitutional issue to me. And, isn’t the substance of the protests about special right categories, inherently divisive? I guess I can’t remain silence….I encourage everyone to take the season or lifetime off and stop supporting organizations such as the NFL that loot taxpayers to pay for their palatial stadiums. We need to silence the wholesale use of steroids and growth hormones by sanctioning the players and the teams. We need to convict players who commit crimes. We need to convict bribe taking government officials that give payoffs to the NFL (can anyone say Oakland Traitors). Finally, their needs to be an investigation into the NFL to find out why they racially profile and why 75% of the players are black….not a single native American player….must be racism

    • Well said. Outstanding…ya big show off!

Cue the ad hominem attacks because one can’t argue against that any other way. (traveler approaches…)

  8. So here’ s the question… When the kneeling to disrespect the flag that so many have died for spreads to NCAA football and the USC Trojan team– and it will — What are you going to do about it ???

  9. PC, you are a great coach and mentor but sports & politics need to stay away from eachother, It will open Pandora’s box and ruin sports as we know it today. Play the game and keep your political positions to yourself. Don’t try to be like actors in their opinions. They hide from the public. Is that how you want to lead the rest of your life?

  10. Kneeling during the National Anthem is crapping on what all races and religions died for in this country!
