USC Morning Buzz: An Early Game Day Against California

It’s a 12:30 p.m. kickoff in Berkeley and we will have our live chat, as usual. As you can see above, the GameDay broadcast from New York City had a USC flavor. Sort of.

      • To guarantee a USC blow out, I’ll take the points.
Wish I could get +55, the way my luck runs.

      • Mike we just have to stop putting the defense in those difficult situations by converting 4th downs and catching passes that should move the chains. Voorhees probably needs to sit out this one because he didn’t do so well against Texas. I say pit Hemsley at OT if need be, but Texas dominated Edoga’s side after he left the game and if I’m being honest I’m still not sold on Toa Lobendahn at tackle. We can’t let Cal stick around at all. Let’s flex our teams talent by dominating them and Wilcox!

  1. I totally loved how Jake Olson called out Desmond Howard when he was interviewed today in person on GameDay. Howard predicted a CAL victory (big surprise!) and Olson accurately proclaimed, “Dez never gives us love.” It really stood out.

When they showed Howard on camera again, it looked like he had swallowed a cube of butter.

Olson fully punked Howard who was made to look like a biased fool. I think Howard predicted STAN would win the Pac-12 too before the season.

Amazing how our blind snapper politely, almost jokingly, exposed Howard as the hater he is, but pretends not to be. It’s all out there now. Thanks Jake.

    • USC has played Michigan – Desi’ alma mater – how many times in various bowls, usually the Rose Bowl. Has Michigan ever beaten us? If they have, then it was a fluke…..and therein lies Desi’s bias.

    • Howard did pick us to beat Stanford. He’s crazy to pick Cal. It was that braniac David Pollack who picked the Trees. They think we’re not as tough because Texas played us til the end and Furd has two losses. They don’t know **** because they were all on USC’s jock up until last Saturday night. We’ll make them look dumb real soon for that.

  2. I’m stuck at work today, so I can’t watch this noon game. I’ll be relying on multiple online sources for my game updates. I come here for comedic relief.

  3. I’m starting not to enjoy Game Day, because it’s becoming an over produced show, too many bells and whistles.. smh

    • I still love it. And what’s the alternative? Nothing and nobody. Nobody’s willing to step up and compete and any past attempts have failed completely,

You need a lot of programming for three hours of four talking heads and the entire nation to cover. Not sure how the show could get by with less production. We can’t possibly listen to Herby et al, any more than we already do, can we?

      • He’s clearly the real deal and with Rojo down, along with the defense we face today, I really wanted to say 200yds+.

      • Definitely if you include receiving. I’m hoping some new receivers have big games, but let’s run for 300 like we did against the other team up north. This should be the kind of game where everyone puts up numbers and has fun and you just don’t want any injuries.

Their QB looks like a little gamer and we’ll need to keep an eye on him too.

  4. Can’t listen to the USC Trojan Marching Band without picturing them marching over a flattened Ricardo Maltoban…
