Oh no, this is a sure sign USC will lose.

    • Michael Guarino

Ha! [If Porter Gustin, Mitchell and Rojo are available, we’re good].

      • gotroy22

        Were there any injuries yesterday?

        • Michael Guarino

I watched Burnett favor one leg a tiny bit after he hurdled a defender to try to get into the end zone at the end of the game—-but he might have just been “walking off” some temporary leg pain. Bet he’s fine (and we sure do need him)!

      • Gabby

        What’s going on with Pittman?

        • Michael Guarino

Wouldn’t be the least surprised to see him turn up this Friday, Gabby.

  • Michael Guarino

Since Vegas has been giving us about one touchdown more of a lead than we’ve been getting, this isn’t a great omen.

    • rusoviet

Would you be more confident if they had posted us as a 10 point favorite? No you wouldn’t have.

Look WA St. hasn’t played a single road game not one yet and who they have played ain’t nuthin’ to write home about

MT St., Boise St., OR St. and NV they sport a combined 4 – 11.

Before you toot their comeback they staged against Boise St (WA St. 47 Boise St. 44) on 8th Sept. VA, this past Friday sporting a 17 point underdog against ‘blue man’ beat Boise St. (VA 42 Boise St. 23).

No one is looking past WA St. but I think Cal will turn out to be a tougher test than the Cougars will up in ‘the palouse’.

      • Michael Guarino

Washington State has better players than Cal —-higher rated, faster, bigger. But they are not in our league. If we play to our potential (and we have Porter Gustin to improve the rush on Falk), we do fine.

        • rusoviet

Mike agreed – the problem for WA St. is that they haven’t really faced an opponent that is pumped to beat them unlike USC which faces such each and every week just as all the top tier programs do years after year (AL, Clemson, OH St., OK) we – USC – are what the Cougars are lit up for but the best thing was the attitude the team itself took at half-time at Cal and after the game. The players are angry and it’s good WA St. has prowess to test their anger against.

          • Michael Guarino

Beautifully put. They’ve been telling anybody who’ll listen that they’re up there waiting for us. I hope we explode in their faces on Friday.

          • JBKayak

We are Forged Steel after our tough early schedule. If we get a player of two back for this game(re-energized Ronald Jones, Etc) Wa St won’t be ready for our 60 minutes of intensity after their weak early schedule.

          • rusoviet

            Yes mein brudder we are!

        • Traveler

          And….how do you know THAT?!

      • JBKayak

That’s what I’m looking for, good concise information. Thanks for the research, you’re always feeding the starving readers

It means NOTHING. Wise up. Unless of course you’re still expecting the world to end yesterday….

Wise up? Coming from a babbling ninny like you?

Wolfie must’ve been teased incessantly as a child.

  • Arturo

This is a game where the run game must take over. It would be nice at least.

  • peter

Team should get their passports in order, they are going to Pullman. Only thing familiar will be the drought. Weather not expected to be factor. Expect to see Pirates, (who could water down field.)
THIS IS A TEST.Either the team will play with the savy, and excellence of Stanford game, or ?
All 33,500 fans will give the appearance of 70,000. We will see who true leaders of team are.

    • Michael Guarino

You said it [and we need all our leaders on the field —Rojo, Gustin, Mitchell, Petite, Burnett —-and Daniel Imatorbhebhe would be nice to have back, too].

      • peter

You’re so right. Question for you.Do you see any leaders on O line? Any on O besides Sam? Daniel I ,believe is leader.Hard to say when he is able to play this year. Think about it, this year 3 teams so far have come gunning for us.We have shown that spirit only in 1.Same spirit that we rode to Rose Bowl.

        • Michael Guarino

Funny you should ask, peter —-I was just asking myself where the leadership is on the O-line. The answer I came up with? Chris Brown (on occasion).
[Between me and you, we’ll know that Helton is taking this game seriously if Imatorbhebhe, Pittman and Joseph Lewis are all ready to go on Friday].

  • Rabb

Tee Martin should coach from the sidelines, get out of the booth. Talk to Sam and WRs, look them straight in the eyes, light a fire in them during the game. Clancy is on the sidelines and it helps the defense greatly when he can look them in the eyes.

    • Michael Guarino

…And keep Tyson in the booth…?

  • Golden Trojan

This is as big a test as the Stanford game and everybody knows it. It has upset written all over it if the Trojans aren’t fired up. Whats Wazoo got for Defense or Offense other than the QB.

    • David Keeling

Wazoo’s defense will not stop our offense. Only our offense will stop itself. The better defense will determine this game.

    • Traveler

Maybe Helton can bring the whole team together to pledge allegiance to The Almighty Trumpanzee, filling them with a MA SC GA. There’s no telling what brainwashed cult fetishits are capable of, right Old Boy?

      • marvgoux1

A brainwashed Hillary cultist like you would know.

        • Michael Guarino

She’s hard not to like, isn’t she, marv?

  • Lajollaboy

Washington State has not really played anyone and their defense has not faced an offense like ours. I think if we play with focus and limit mistakes and turnovers and can run the ball we should be able to beat them. Need to control the clock and keep their offense off the field. Hope Rojo is healthy for the game.

  • Traveler

    So TFW?!
