USC Still No. 5 In AP Top 25

No movement for USC in the latest AP poll as the Trojans are still No. 5 overall. USC is also No. 5 in the coaches’ poll. The full AP poll is after the jump.

  1. Answer this re AP poll? Chronic anti-Pac 12 double-standard voting media bias: Penn State and Oklahoma retain their 3 and 4 rankings despite playing poorly and against unranked, heavy underdog opponents (Iowa/Baylor), and SC, when they win, but don’t win according to East Coast Media Bias impressiveness or large point spreads, drops poll spots in previous weeks, where Oklahoma and Penn State barely hold on to get wins and drop no ranking positions at all!!!!????

    • Book mark this week as concrete proof of the bias that exists. SC won far more impressively vs a better opponent in W. Mich. compared to Oklahoma vs a terrible Baylor team.

    • Are you saying we deserved to ascend?

If anything, WA should have jumped us.

We have no idea who is going to play well next week. With Gustin sidelined, only Deontay, Cam and Uchenna have been solid all 4 weeks. Even Burdrovich and Darnold were pedestrian at Cal.

  2. And why does LSU deserve to still be ranked in Top AP 25 by beating a weak Syracuse team? Us usual, can you spell Media Bias? The Pac 12 does not exist in the East Coast Media’s holier-than-thou-pretentious-East_coast-time-zone AP ranking voting!

    • And which PAC12 team would you replace LSU with? Oregon, Stanford, Cal, Colorado?
Or non-PAC12 team? Dupe? Memphis? (I hope Memphis loses out, making UClowns’ loss that much more pathetic.)

  3. The polls are meaningless this early in the season.. #5, 6 or 7 .. I would take in a heartbeat.. Is USC deserving of a #5 this early … Sure, why does Alabama get a pass on the negative responses to the rankings relative to their weak early schedule..

If I were doing the polling based on schedule and or fashion of wins

Clemson would be #1 followed by Oklahoma and TCU. USC, Washington, Penn State and then Alabama..

  4. SW voted USC #9.

He has CLEM (#4) behind GA (#3). Not happening in the real world.

He dropped the QB-less, pitiful FSU group all the way from #9 to #25. A little late there SW!

He doesn’t have LSU in his top 25 even though he still thinks Orgeron should be USC’s coach.

He ranks FLORIDA #15 from the horrible SEC East. No way!

WSU is his #18 and CU is way over-ranked by SW at #24.

  5. They shouldnt lose a position if you win and you have key players injured. Also, other teams gave up lots of points against unranked teams.

  6. Wisconsin falls after a nice win? Yeah BYU has lot 3, but to good teams, they may only lose 1 more. Wisconsin has a good shot at winning out only facing Michigan and Iowa. They are kind of like Washington, schedule-wise. 2 tough games, a couple of moderate games and cupcake city.

Auburn gains 2 spots for beating a crap team after struggling the weak before against M-E-R-C-E-R!? LMAO!

  7. Let me get this straight, SC dropped a spot because they did not cover the point spread against Texas, yet Penn St. stays in the same place even though they barely beat Iowa and did not cover the point spread either. Tell me what is the difference?
