If It’s Friday, It Must Be Time For The USC Notes Column

Here we go: I make my USC-Washington State game prediction, discuss Andy Enfield not making any public statements about the basketball scandal and write about an instance from the past where a USC basketball player was offered a bribe that might not have ever heard about.

  1. Pullman is a tough place to play at night and SC always seems to struggle there. SC caught a break with the weather, shouldn’t be cold tonight. SC’s problem is that the OL is awful ( coaching ), the WR’s are banged up and the DB’s play soft at times and Darnold will have to work his magic once again to save Gomer & Co.

I say SC loses a close one.

Cue the rah rah’s accusing me of being a bRUIN, 3,2,1…..

    • Your a bruin so? I am friends with Ucla fans for 363 days a year and then I gloat or sulk for a day or two.
I am a dyed in the wool USC fan real rah rah who knows if blocking and secondary play doesn’t improve our four and oh will become four and oh gawd.

  2. There has been some discussion is previous weeks about whether USC is sand-bagging the playbook for tough opponents. Well, this would be the game to show us what you’ve got, Tee…

Call a few Darnold runs for a change…at least make the threat a reality at some point. If Rosey can do it, I think Sam could too!

  3. Wow, are starting left tackle does not make the trip and we get Scott’s cut paste worthless notes.

      • Toa Lobendahn did not make the trip to Pullman due to a staph infection, according to Keely Eure of USCFootball dot com (posted by Alicia de Artola on Reign of Troy, yesterday)

      • After wolf has his morning box of donuts and cakes rubs his feet, he MIGHT post something about it. But not before a few more insults directed at Colin

    • He’s been one of our better linemen, major loss. It’s hard to replace all the experience he brings…..next man up!

  4. If Andy’s not talking he either has a muzzle or bags are packed for a place with lax extradition laws. Don’t know which, just know when a hole opens up at SC it swallows people whole and we don’t know everything yet. Waiting for the bus to go by to see who else is under it.

    • Don’t worry wonderbread no one’s doing any retroactive investigations of wooden Harrick? Yeah but the peckerwood nah…smooth sailing for him

      • Johnny Cheetin’ Wooden should have been fired for being the greedy person he was. Gilbert paid a lot of money

  5. wolfman, it is truly a pleasure to read a sports journalist at the top of game and the prime of his career!

your coverage of the football team and the scandal ridden basketball teams will be studied in journalism courses for years to come.

PLUS, you continue to kick Colin Dumbherd around like a soccer ball!

your football analysis is so precise you LITERALLY give the coach a weekly checklist on how to win games, and detail where his problem areas are!! if Mora had managed to get you on the UCLA beat, wolfman, he would probably be on his third or fourth Natty this year…

    #Wolf=SecretWeapon

  6. “And even if USC has injuries, aren’t its reserves still more highly rated by all the recruiting services than Washington State’s starters?”

Hey wolf, that statement is beyond ridiculous, you should be embarrassed….Time for a job change. The National Enquirer is hiring.

Colin’s comments continue to haunt you….HA HA!

  7. Feel like this game will go back forth. WSU drives kept alive by pass interference calls, SC’s offense going through the Cougars workman like. Who ever gets a stops on defense and makes field goals wins this one. SC needs to step up tonight. I plan to be screaming at the refs. Lets hope Pendergast has a plan to disrupt Falk. That will be the key.

  8. I agree WSU is suspect due to who they have played so far. If USC will physically take control of this game in the beginning, I think it will have an effect on the cougars confidence in executing their plays. Pendergast needs to put the rush on Faulk in not giving him time to pick apart our DBs & safeties.

  9. Wolfman,
There won’t be any comment from Andy.
Andy is in the Cone of Silence with Fast Max, St. Pat and Dr. Carmen Puliafito.
Right now SoCal Athletics is spending tens of thousands of dollars having a statement drafted by a team of attorneys & P. R. experts in addition to what they are paying the “security firm” to “investigate”
Besides, Andy is hard at work recruiting and telling basketball recruits what Kiffin was telling football recruits NCAA investigation??? Don’t worry about it, never happen.
Your athletic team donation dollars at work.

    • Hey Jughead…Worry about your program and your ‘ supposit’ ‘national brand’…that Charley Bucky chirped about.. Ucla is hot and heavy in the investigation.. Sad, Ucla Football is on life support with Mora’s lackluster football coaching career about to come to a sad ending..

  10. Scooter, have you thought that maybe Swann told Enfield to stay quiet until the investigation is done. Btw, did you ask Enfield any questions or are you banned from SC?
