  1. I guess I saw something different –

I didn’t see Darnold losing his ‘….love for the game.’ as much as I saw a qb that hadn’t a clue what to do.

That 2nd down and goal, after that incredible interception recovery on WA St.’s 2 yard line pass to the corner of the end zone was a poorly thrown pass. Truly the sole blow away play was Jones running for the WA St. endzone.

Falk was sacked repeatedly but he bounced right back up
the conrtast – Darnhold seemed completely dumbfounded on what to do and when to do it.

Darnhold’s been a true magician the past 1+ years
and his victories are legion but his play last night was, for me, the
    reason USC lost. .

    • Coach Leach said it best when he stated that Sam has all the basic skills to play in the NFL, but not now. He needs another year in college to polish those skills and get more exposure to defenses.

      • I agree – saw a list of all the major successful qb’s in the NFL and NONE of them had less than 3 years of college: Tom Brady, Andrew Luck, Aaron Rogers, Carson Palmer, Drew Brees, Matt Ryan, Dak Prescott, Blake Bortles, Alex Smith – all 3 or more full seasons as a college quarterback.
