USC Player Identified?

Another video has emerged on Facebook of the post-game celebration at Martin Stadium. It shows No. 93 as the player who extended his arms and knocked down a fan. No. 93 is defensive lineman Liam Jimmons.

  1. I get it wolf, it was time to throw some troll-bait out there. I have no objection to the P.I. work you are doing on this case, but save it for another blog….

      • Really? A cheap shot is a cheap shot. Targeting is bad enough, but then a 300-pound player in pads hits a student in a cowardly way, and it’s just fine?

        • Google Mike Curtis hits drunk fan, it’s hilarious and the drunk got what he deserved, so did the WSU yahoo

          • You horse’s arse, Curtis nailed that fan DURING a game.

I can’t begin to imagine the bozo u outrage had a Stanford player nailed a Toejam fan celebrating on the field AFTER the bozos upset win.

        • I wish we could hear Liam’s view of what happened. Perhaps an enterprising reporter can make a sweet scoop.

        • She must be one tough babe. I hear she likes to run with the Wolves in Pullman. Not exactly L.A. material.

          • Keep laughing. ESPN is reporting the student was taken to the hospital and treated. The police filed a report and may charge the big tough guy from USC. I hope sp

          • Ya, I’m real worried about this Bernie baby. Knock yourself out.

Are bruins still allowed to use Uber, or have they been barred? I hope so, for the safety of Uber drivers everywhere.

          • Jacquie,
            Deflection again?
How many times have we discussed this?
You just aren’t getting better (neither is your team)

          • You’re getting dumber all the time Wimp Boy. Do I sound worried about this broad who got trampled by a huge USC football player? It made me laugh chump.

If you call that “deflection”, you need to start reading the dictionary, and not the abridged little gutty edition.

  2. Here comes the indictment and lawsuit. Where is our AD to handle this before this dribbled out tonight?

      • Great. A small story becomes national fodder to bash SC once again. Now we will hear all about the victim. Way to go Swannie!

        • I don’t see SC or the player taking any big hit here.

I’m sure we’ve all received texts or emails or calls from friends about the clueless fan getting hammered while idiotically celebrating on the field after a game and (big surprise!) getting run over by a player trying to get off the field.

I thought it was funny. Still do and that’s all. Worth a short laugh or an OMG! Nothing to get all fired up about. Stay off the field people.

WSU got appropriately and predictably fined for allowing a dangerous public condition to develop.

          • If it ended there I am with you. But according to the Pullman article posted here they aren’t quite over it.

          • They will be. You need damages for a legal recovery. There are none here, except for gross self-inflicted embarrassment.

          • USC and our football player would drag anyone connected with stadium security and WSU into the action via cross-complaint and they would end up paying all, if any, provable damages. Since the trampled student was violating the law and any regulations anyway by being on the field, they are already severely compromised.

Everyone knows you aren’t supposed to rush the field after a game except apparently the people in Pullman. This would be a fun case to work on. Lots of potholes and negatives for anyone who starts anything.

          • The kid popped up right away and turned to see who ran over them. To me there is no damage.

      • He could have contacted WSU’s AD and campus police, has our player give them a statement of what happened and wrapped it up before his Tuesday morning tee time. Instead we get this slow steady dribble that feeds the story for 4 days now. As the athletic department politician he is supposed to take care of this instead of putting our poor coach Helton out there. He has more important things to worry about than this and that is Swann’s job to keep Helton focused on the next game against Oregon State.

        • And what if the player statement didn’t exactly coincide with the subsequently released video? Then you’ve got another issue.

This story wasn’t ever going away just because a player or school issued a statement – not when there’s a video out there. And if it turns out there are more best-evidence videos, they will all eventually get out there regardless of what USC or the player says.

For many of us, this blew over minutes after we saw the first video. Hah, hah. Stay off the field dude. For others, they will insist the player should be prosecuted and jailed. For others, they’ll say you run into a mob with huge, upset football players running off the field after a game at your own risk.

The player’s already been internally disciplined for not going out of his way to avoid the running WSU fan and that’s the way every single school would have handled this, IMHO.

          • My worry is what the authorities in Pullman have planned and any civil action that drags Helton and SC through the mud. You are an attorney so what do you think of the legal questions this raises?

          • The authorities in Pullman have already been found guilty and fined. Anybody can bring a civil action for any reason. But Pullman undoubtedly wants to get this behind them, not further demonstrate to the world they have zero crowd control capability and allowed a dangerous, chaotic crowd condition to develop. Fortunately, nobody got hurt, just embarrassed. JMHO. I wouldn’t worry if I were you. Well see. We live in very strange times.

          • Hopefully, he’s being forced to sing the USC fight song once, maybe twice, in front of the team. It was a great hit. LMAO.

I bet that dumb Pullman broad is more careful the next time she cluelessly lollygags on a frantic football field after a big game.

        • Metu deliberately trips an Oregon BB player, and Jimmings blind side, cheap shots a Wazzo fan.

Gosh goop, are you seeing a pattern here: CS mayhem.

          BTW, is Andyain’twinning still employed?

          • Squatter, and Johnny cheetin’ Wooden cusses out a ref and buys his players, do you see a pattern here?

          • Were they put on probation? You are stuck on something that you think happened 30 years ago—try living in the present!

  3. good job of protecting teammates…people were warned not to swarm the field for safety issues

  4. Gotta say, that skinny student popped back up just like Pat Cowan did after the cheap shot laid on him by Ray Maualuga.

        • All the more reason for her to stay off the field of play and on YouTube where she belongs! Hah!

          • She should have been in the kitchen and barefoot. Then she would not have been run over. Women want equality, well she got equality and now knows what it is like to get hit on a football field. No case here.

          • Oooh….the big football player ran over me! Now I’m on my arse and I have a grass stain! Take me to the hospital because I need grass stain treatment now! But the tape shows I popped up just like toast. No case here is right.

    • Yet he still could have suffered extensive soft tissue injury. Need an MRI, he could have degenerative changes after some time.

      • Typical little gutty Roid Beefcake response. Just contact your in-cahoots, ambulance chaser chiropractor and lawyer and run up a bogus $10,000 tab for so-called treatment that was never received!

This is exactly how little gutties think! Ooooh, I think I’ve got a soft tissue injury! I won’t be able to walk in 10 years. Call mommy and get a heating pad!

        • What’s typical about this scenario is a hulking trOXan hitting a woman or a shrimpy guey.

This case screams for a nice payday.

          #ItsLikeThat

          • Truth is, USC loves to smack you little gutty wimps around on the field, just last Nov 28 to the tune of 40-21.

It’ll be another USC beat down on Nov. 18 Roid Boy! Get ready. Rosen’s already having nightmares based on his last USC experience.

      • Brute,
Or he could have been higher than high and not felt a thing and was not hurt.

    • You mean he wasn’t hurt really bad? Even a little? I’m shocked to think that people can fall over without injury.

Your fellow bruin Roid Beefcake would have already paid 10 visits to an unscrupulous chiropractor and be claiming he can’t sit properly in his crappy Rose Bowl seat anymore. Problem is, expert testimony would show those seats aren’t worth anything in actual damages!

      • So, you are fine with what Jimmons did? It’s one thing when two elite college athletes in full pads collide and one is called for targeting. It’s an entirely different thing when a 300-pound player wearing pads and a helmet cheap shots a student in street clothes.

  5. There was a horrible shooting in Las Vegas. This is a non story please let it die Wolf

  6. So what? Get the little lemmings off the field! I look forward to WSU’s impending 3 losses.

  7. My first thought was that SoCal should retire that jersey but I realized that just knocking a fan down doesn’t get you there. You have to kill a couple people to get your number hanging on the SoCal home turf.

  8. JIMMONY the #Soreloser bowled over an innocent fan because he was frustrated with losing. Sad.
