Pick The Score

With USC a 33-point favorite, maybe picking the halftime score is a better idea. Let’s put it this way: USC’s goal tomorrow should be to escape without injuries and let Matt Fink get into the game midway through the third quarter.

  1. Tee Martin better score in the red zone at every possession. If the score is close, kiss this season goodbye with coaches to follow.

    • Agreed. Oregon State is mainly terrible (although they have an okay D-line which could screw things up for a poorly prepared Offensive Coordinator)…..So, in this context, how close is close? 14 points?

  2. SC won’t cover the point spread. SC needs to show firepower and strength. They have only shown impotence behind Tee’s play calling.

    • Could be like that at night after the game on Fraternity Row too, if you catch my drift…

  3. Washington was only 7-0 at half last week so I guess their coaches suck.

  4. Both the running game and the passing game need to regain rhythm.
New OL need to show they can protect Sam and open holes.
Sam needs to regain the Darnold factor.
Is this the game to play Fink ? Even in a blow out I think Sam needs to play at least 31/2 QT.(Unfortunately) needs the mojo .

    • Why risk injury against the scrubs? Play Fink once we are up 5 TDs. We won’t pull a Texas A&M.

      • Certainly don’t see A&M situation. I just believe it won’t be until start of 4th that all offense needs are satisfied. Lots of timing issues to correct. Not just points on board.

      • Of course 22, A & M never lost to Stanford, a 41 pt. dog, at the crumbling mausoleum.

  5. That’s right it’s all T’s fault. He isn’t blocking for the backs, he isn’t protecting the quarterback in passing downs and he is the one rushing 3 linemen on 3rd and 20.
Can we please get an O-Line coach that recruits and uses the big and mean linemen of old.

    • The O-line coach does not continue to call running plays up the middle when they have not worked for weeks.

  6. Considering how USC’s offense is going, being a thirty – three point favorite is a bit of a stretch.

I’m more worried if USC is going to struggle to get to twenty.

  7. 31-0 at half, and Matt Fink is the King of the LA River in the 4th quarter as he scores a TD to make the final score 51-0.

    • I think USC scores late to make it your score (toss up whether it’s a TD or FG).

USC just doesn’t blow people away anymore. I think they play it close into the 4th to keep everyone uncomfortable and then get a late score to make it look “respectable.”

And then everyone will hit the message boards to bitch, moan and nitpick every little thing late, late into the night.

  8. I predict Tee Martin tries to do all of the things that every one has been complaining about not doing.

    But will he be successful…?

  9. Oregon State is close to the bottom in terms of every defensive category, including dead last in allowing third down conversions (when their opponent needs 3 downs, which is not that often). Looking forward to not seeing those 3 and outs from last week. 45-16

  10. It is a simple formula for opposing defenses, stack the box and blitz a lot. However, I think Martin and Co. call a better game and SC gets some Coliseum home cooking going and win, but don’t cover the spread.

  11. There is one certainty, Tee Martin will do everything Scott has said he should do to avoid the wrath of The Wolfman next week.
Tee knows Scott outlasts most coaches and and A.D.s and that Scott knows SoCal football better than any man alive.

  12. Hey wolf, you cheap screw. At least offer the winner a prize. I was thinking. a “I love Scott Wolf” t-shirt. O’wait, bad idea, the only one who would post their opinion would be cakes
