Tale Of Two Stats

This is why I don’t like stats. Does it mention USC played Alabama last season? Does it mention Max Browne started theee of the games?

  1. Well then why don’t you do your job as a reporter and analyze the final 9 games from last year with the first 6 from this year ?

I think that would be more productive than your incessant complaining.

  2. So they put a positive spin on our season? Regardless the one stat I like is the one that says 5 wins versus 3.
Call me a homer but a win is all you will see in the record book.

    • You have to admit though, in Los Angeles you need style point wins and that also helps for getting a spot in the final 4 PO. Now if you’ve given up on that, all that matters are wins/losses.

But if SC wants national respect this season, we can’t keep playing down to our competition. Mediocre wins against CAL and W MICH just hid the fact WSU was too much for us to handle. Sometimes during the ORE ST game, we looked so bad you had to laugh. At least the people I saw the game with did.

It’s up to USC to set the tone for the 2nd half of the season. If we win yet another ugly one at home – frankly it wouldn’t surprise me!

      Fight On!

  3. The good news today is that Trump is fully gutting ObamaCare a little more every week.

Who needs Congress when we’ve got Trump to wreck everything Obama tried to do at home and abroad – see Iran!

Ya baby! It’s been a great Friday and we still have a long ways to go.

    • It’s very impressive. Especially when he has Rand Paul supporting him. That’s hard to do on Capitol Hill.

      Fight On!

  4. Your distaste for stats seems to fly in the face of the search results on your blog when one types in “Stat of the Night”. It has been a regular post for more than a decade. Why do you just make things up all the time?

  5. TB/bozo u basketball fall out: Enright four star recruit decommits because of bozo u basketball scandal.

  6. Watching Clemson vs Syracuse is like watching a flag football game, the physical aspect of college football is slowly slipping at the wayside.. smh

    • With CTE (and many worse player examples to come), this is the way it’s gonna be. Some teams rarely ever hit during practice.

The good old days of smashmouth football are in our rearview I’m afraid. Seems obvious, huh?!

  7. Scott Frost, Dino Babers and Mike Norvell. All up and coming offense coaches who are good at making adjustments.

    • It looks like Clemson’s will be tonight – down 14 – 17 @ SYR end of the 1st half, and their QB got knocked out of the game.

  8. Cal 17, Wazzu 3 at the half – both teams looking entirely different than what they showed against Trojans

  9. Really?…pass defense is worse this year? Hadn’t noticed…I thought watching Iman Marshall get toasted this year was the same as watching him get toasted last year. But we get to watch Jack Jones get beat regularly as well this year.
