The Doak Walker Award trimmed its list of finalists to 11 and Ronald Jones has made the cut. Here is the list: Josh Adams (Jr.) Notre Dame; Saquon Barkley (Jr.)          Penn State; Royce Freeman (Sr.) Oregon; Justice Hill (So.) Oklahoma State; Kerryon Johnson (Jr.) Auburn; Ronald Jones (Jr.) USC; Phillip Lindsay (Sr.) Colorado; Bryce Love (Jr.) Stanford; Rashaad Penny (Sr.) San Diego State; Devin Singletary (So.) Florida Atlantic; Jonathan Taylor (Fr.) Wisconsin.

  1. Very well deserved. He worked hard in the off-season, and has had a terrific year. Created a lot of yardage on his own. He should get a lot of yards tomorrow against UCLA.

  2. This is all a product of McCullough. He is the best hire and coach on this staff.. His passion and intensity for the RB position and the knowledge he is passing on is grade A.. There are no other coaches on this USC staff this passionate and it shows in his coaching, and in his interviews..
    Wish Bradford taught the DB position just like this..

    • Agreed. If the DB’s played with the intelligence, drive and intensity of the RB’s we’d be in the damn playoffs. Hats off to McCullough. He made a difference.

  3. Congrats to RoJo. He really picked up his game and McCullough deserves some big-time credit I think. Enjoy hearing him talk about football. Great hire by Helton. Hope he makes some more.

  4. Ronald Jones…he’s better than any running back that will be up for the Heisman this year.

    • I put him at a tie with Saquon Barkley of Penn State. They are both special people and athletes.

      • Ronald Jones was 13 yards shy of a 1,000 as a true freshman, hasgone well iver 1,000 yards last year and this year. Jones yds per avg is over 6.

        Saquon and his numbers don’t even compare. And Saquon has had the better offensive line to run behind.

  7. I think the only thing giving him a chance at winning is averaging 200+ yards and 2-3 TDs the next two games. But he’s better than any RB in the country IMO

  11. Ronald Jones (Jr) has been DYNAMITE this season. My vote goes to USC TB Ronald Jones (Jr). BEAT THE BRUINS !!!
