      • Is it really that far off, Brent4c? Somebody told me that the game was on Tuesday at 2 in the morning pacific time —-and there was a walk-thru scheduled for midnight.

      • Not true, Paul. All the Vegas hotels have joined together in deciding not to issue “any line on any possible outcome” in the Bruins’ Bowl game. Earlier today a statement was issued— saying something about “not wanting to participate in a joke.”

    • At least Chit Kelly can coach his team up and get acquainted and then chalk up an easy win to create momentum going into next season. Oh he doesn’t want anything to do with this bunch of jabronies? Okay, well he had an opportunity anyway.

      • The “bunch of Jabronies” you speak of Mr. Nappies never lost a game by 35 points or failed to score a TD during an entire game in the last 6 years.

        Somethings never change.

  1. It’s very probable the CLE will have the 1st pick again based on their, as of 3rd December, sterling 0 – 12 record. The money is serious and yet it’s the follow-on contracts, due to the CBA signed 3+ years ago, where the real money is made now (Kerr-OAK) as opposed to years past.

Question – would Darnold be more prudent to elect to play an additional year and avoid getting pulled by CLE or roll the dice and hope for SFO?

Word has it the 49ers seemingly have ‘found’ their ‘qb’ in Garropolo and the Giants seem like a seamless fit for Rosen.

    • It’d be an excellent day for the Trojan Family when Darnold announces he’ll be back for another season.

    • He needs to play another year because he’s awful right now. What team in their right mind would draft him. He’s throwing INT’s to wide open players, problem is they aren’t wearing USC jerseys. I don’t see him going in the first 2 rounds at this point, if he stays another year he could be #1 draft pick.

      • I don’t think he’s as bad as you portray him but yes he would benefit from another year as would USC and certainly Helton

      • Yeah Mr. Nappies, that loser strategy worked really well for Matty the Chin, Barfly, and CK.

      • Great insight!….You should be working in the NFL as GM….get the resume ready.

Some of the s**t you pull out of your hat is hilarious. You throw the S**t out there hoping it sticks

    • He’s saying the real money comes when a player signs his second contract. The days of the huge rookie guaranteed bonus are gone

  2. This is mainly because Ohio State has been ranked higher all season long, but we’ve got a serious game changer Sam The Killer and they don’t. With the way he’s playing at the moment, we’ll be hard to beat.

    • I hope the kids come fired up and want to revenge at AT&T Stadium for the debacle last year.

    • Sorry RT, ranking has nothing to do with the send out line. Please don’t miss lead the others who read and post on this site….thanks

If you need some help let me know….thanks again

      • Mislead others? Are those fighting words? Can you tell me exactly who got misled by what I stated?

        • “This is mainly because Ohio State has been ranked higher all season long”

You’re telling people the line is at -7 because the Ohio St has been ranked higher all season….that’s the problem. You have your panties all twisted up, but yet, have no idea what the true purpose of a point spread is.

          • So are you suggesting Vegas is never affected by the movement of the rankings throughout the season? Who do you think you’re kidding? When a team has been ranked higher than another team every week on the poll, including the final rankings that determined who’s going where, they’re not going to rank the team ranked lower above the higher ranked team.

          • You have no f**king idea how the sports betting industry works. Once again you continue to post your BS and when someone calls you out, you get defensive.

I live in Las Vegas and have wagered well over 100k on sporting events over the last two decades. The odds makers have their own power ranking and they are sharper than sharp. They look a lot different than the polls you talk about.

If you need more let me know

          • Hey, you sound really f’g angry about something here, and I hope your little head wouldn’t explode over the roof. So what are you going to do about it? Are you going out to the Strip with a megaphone speaker and scream at the heavens to change the spread for SC? I don’t get you at all in this pointless argument because there’s not a single f’g thing you can do to change it. It’s done, so chill and deal with it. That being said, I hope those you consider sharper than sharp are way off on their calculations this time on SC and Ohio State.

          • Instead of accepting constructive criticism in a non-threatening manner, you flipped a switch and became a sarcastic little b*tch.

narcissism is a tough cookie to deal with, hang in there

          • Well, obviously your already problematic gray matter got f’g fried by losing all the boneheaded bets that you idiotically placed as you swore, and you turn your own personal anger and frustration against others who don’t say yes to everything you bark. I’d say that’s a clear sign of some real nasty mental issues.

          • Hey, don’t even bother denying it. History tells me that every single sick mammal that raised issues with me so far has proven to have issues themselves.

      • Obviously you’re right Gabby but I don’t think he was trying to mislead others but just didn’t realize betting lines are all about prediction of results, not some weighted ranking. The money thinks SC is a TD underdog. That should make SC fans happy since SC wasn’t remotely in consideration for the playoffs by the committee while tOSU was. I happen to think tOSU was overrated; they got totally blown out in two games, including an unranked Iowa. They would have been embarrassed this year in the playoffs. With Barrett’s injury it would have been that much worse.

        • You know what? It’s not really a matter of who’s right and who’s wrong in this. The truth is you can’t expect to be treated with respect by such condescending manner displayed by the individual here. If we’re to be criticized in every personal speculation and observation we make in this blog, it’d be the same as having a f’g censor that approves and disproves every single post before we post it. WTH gives the power and authority to this weirdo to tell us what to say and what not to say? I find it utterly laughable.

          • “narcissistic personality disorder” : is a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of extreme confidence lies a fragile self-esteem that’s vulnerable to the slightest criticism.

It’s quite obvious you suffer from a mental condition, and you call me a “weirdo”,….LOL!

..Your idea what a point spread means was incorrect and I called it to your attention. Since it kills you to be wrong about anything, you proceeded to become unhinged over a trivial matter. Next time, please display some tolerence

  3. Time to (1) Drop Larry Scott and (2) Drop the 9th conference game. We’ve got to establish parity with the other conferences.

  4. The PAC 12 Championship didn’t mean a damn thing to the rest of the country or to the CFP committee.

An SEC team that didn’t even play for its conference championship and who scheduled an FCS cupcake was selected over the PAC 12 Champ.

And Max Nikias is the head of the playoff committee. Not that USC deserved to be in the playoff because they don’t, but it goes to show the PAC 12 is weak, it gets no respect and none of the PAC 12 school officials ever lobby on its behalf.

The NCAA treats USC and the PAC 12 like chumps because they can get away with it…Pat Haden set the precedent for that when he allowed the NCAA to bend him and USC over.

  5. Thats how much the CFP committee thought of Clay Helton’s coaching job, they sent the Trojans to a 3rd tier bowl game. Lynn ” I’m Max Nikias Yes Man” Swann must be so proud.

    How embarrassing

        • My interest in the Cactus Bowl is lower than where you wear your shorts.

Chances are if JR intents to move to the NFL he probably won’t play.

The cactus Bowl is excellent venue for the Bruin Backup to acquire 2018 experience.

          • Please don’t use the phrase “excellent venue” when referring to anything connected to the Cactus Bowl……..

        • Some time in the first quarter…..
          #He’llSay”PlayedAsLongAsICouldStandPain”

          • For public relations reasons, Joshie won’t attempt a FULL McCAFFREY —–a MODIFIED McCAFFREY is the better play here.
            #Go9MinsBeforeLeavingFieldW/BooBoo

  6. Hey Rah – Rah’s, the Bruins punked bozo u WP 7 – 5 to win UCLA’s 114 team NC……Somethings never change.

    • Things never change. It seems like this is written in English but I have no idea what you’re talking about.

      • Absolutely ’72, No doubt the Toejam chick soccer team enjoyed watching the game on Television.

        • Reporting all the day’s news events, since you only selectively report.

BTW, that Cactus Bowl is going to be something really special…I mean, that is one every player dreams of. Congrats! A wonderful way to finish off another .500 season!

          • And I reiterate the Bruins didn’t lose a game by 35 points in 2017.

So after all the Rah-Rah screaming and shouting the bozo u FB team winds up accepting a 3rd tier Cotton Candy Bowl for Friday, Dec. 29, 2017……SNORE.

It’s a so what Tixas game the features 2 highly ranked fake FB teams guilty of losing by +30 points during the regular season.

            #TimetodotheSoupyShuffle

          • It is good to know that .500 teams have something to do over the holiday break. That Cactus Bowl is going to be outstanding!

    • Contrary to what Larry Scott would like you to believe, the only sports that matter are football, men’s basketball and baseball.

  7. They have a few weeks to find a defensive backfield and get everyone healthy. Being underdogs should be an incentive.
When I develop new band members I mix them in with the better musicians, the ones who will be replaced. USC should do this too. 2nd and third quarter rotate in future first stringers. The firsts will be better prepared for the 4th quarter.
We need to win this to convince the doubters.

  8. Ha ha. I’m making some money in Vegas. Rested and healthy sc will kill the luck eyes.

    • Agreed, Manjit. We’re starting fresh for the first time since Western Michigan. Except now we have 3 or 4 more receivers to throw to, another outstanding back broken in to back up Jojo and Sam has overcome all the crap thrown at him over the summer about his throwing motion.

  9. I happen to think tOSU was overrated ; they got totally blown out in two games, including an unranked Iowa. With Barrett’s injury it’s that much worse, because he’s a runner first and foremost. He’s a veteran QB who still throws really dumb pick sixes and his strength is the long ball to his speedy receivers. Our DBs aren’t great in terms of technique but they are not going to just get ran past like Wisconsin’s DBs. I think we can redeem ourselves in the popular mind with this game and not get snubbed so badly in the future, or at least erase that beat down by a mediocre Notre Dame. We just need to get out of this season without looking bad. Even if you don’t like Helton, as I don’t, SC doesn’t become more attractive to the next coaches whenever that happens, if it looks like we are a has been program.

  10. The point spread is way out of line. This game is a toss up really. The game is played on the field in any case, and odds-makers have no idea about crucial turnovers that might happen. Sure looking for money from Trojan alums to balance the books. What was the spread when Ohio St. played Iowa?

  11. Do not care what the point spread is- Show up dominated crush the other guy for a WHOLE GAME. Pick up trophy smile and go home

  12. The power ratings also claims Ohio St has a 76% chance of winning. Tells you what others think of how USC is playing (coached). The team needs to come into this game with a determined attitude, because OSU will come in pissed off.

  13. Who cares what the line is. Those of us who watched the Trojans all year long know that this 11-2 record is bogus. Look at the Los Angeles Times article this past weekend about our opponents, and the really weak victories we escaped with. The problem remains – the coaching staff is horrible. Am I the only person out there who sees Jack Jones (who proclaimed himself as Heisman worthy) and Chris Hawkins, as major liabilities for this team. Hawkins needs to work on his skills more, and shut his mouth with the press. He’s the last guy on the team who should be a spokesman for USC. Dumber that a rock.
