  1. Here is some typical wolfman logic. USC beats #12 Stanford in the PAC12 CCG, and he rewards USC by moving them down one spot on his ballot to #12

Wolf should have his voting privileges revoked immediately

  2. Watching the ESPN selection show, it was a pleasant surprise to hear USC mentioned as one of the seven teams for possible consideration of a playoff berth

    • I watched CFB live on Friday, and not only did they not talk about the Pac-12 championship game airing 2 hours later on THAT NETWORK! They were talking about Ole Miss sanctions, and who even cares about that? Ole Miss hasn’t been relevant since… they never have! They only mentioned USC-Stanford going into a break, and didn’t even have a commercial for the game. They were talking about all the other conference championships on Saturday saying it’s some kind of playoff to see who gets into the playoffs and hopefully Bama can get in too. Do these people even know what they’re talking about?

      • Replace the PAC12 network with ESPN and the talking points change in a heartbeat…..Agendas deflate the sprite of the game

  3. no john rosen on this so called pole? interesting how they only let teems that win alot of gaims precipitate in this pole,,,but what abuot every one else??? dont they matter? smdh! this like 1% that take all the monies and leave none for the poor,,,moar east coast bias??? gee,,,thanx alot drumpf

    • Please, this flawed system needs to be fixed. How does a 3rd place team make the playoffs, insanity

      • I don’t have a problem with Bama at #4. Ohio State at #4 is a major problem with a 31 point loss at iowa.

          • Well, the Pac 12 will always get the short end of the stick because of perception. It also doesn’t help that we have a commissioner who is a buffoon.

          • CCGs should be the first round of a 16 team playoff. Winning a conference championship is a requisite. All conferences participate, with 1 or 2 wild cards for the Lamers or mormons.

        • I do. Where were they yesterday? They were doing the same thing the ugly ruin football players were doing, delivering pizza. They backed. They did not earn it

  4. Crazy that the Auburn team that just beat bammy was dropped for playing a CCG and bammy who was beaten by auburn and had the week to contemplate their shortcomings is given a higher ranking?

    • Ditch these effing polls. Win it on the field. This committee has less integrity than the uber-corrupt NCAA led by the PO$ Mark Emmertt. Next time I’ll let you know how I really feel.

      • “Win it on the field.”

Exactly, eliminate all subjective opinions on who gets a playoff spot.

        • This is a joke, and I hope WE, the people, can embarrass this fraudulent panel of idiots in the lead up to CFP by being vocal about what a sham this is. Even if Bama wins it all, the teams that actually accomplished championships to earn their spot have the same chance to do the same, if not better.

  5. EXACTLY correct…in fact Bama will win it after beating Clemson, and they will beat Georgia….SC will win and end up above #8…if all are healthy on both lines.

  6. If you lose in CCG when it counts or can’t win your division no matter your record you should not be ranked above those teams that accomplished that. Many good teams have loses earlier in the season because of injuries and schedule. USC should be ranked 6th st a minimum.

    • What gets lost in this BS is that Bama not only didn’t win their division, but they didn’t HAVE to play that extra difficult game at the end of the season. The team that whooped them in their season finale got whooped themselves in the championship game, so what does that say? Bama doesn’t deserve that 4th spot.

  7. Since there isn’t a thread for this yet: What a ridiculous sham the CFP is. Alabama wasn’t good enough to win their division; the ONLY good team they played all year beat them last week, and it wasn’t even competitive; Why are they in the playoff ahead of conference Champions? It makes the whole thing totally meaningless. The playoff was suppose to bring integrity to this great sport we love and instead it’s become as big a joke as it was the last time this EXACT thing happened when Bama played LSU. And you saw from the rematches yesterday that yes teams don’t always win the second time they play in the same season. Ohio St., USC and even UCF are more deserving of that 4th spot than Alabama, and those other teams have the exact same chance of beating Clemson, and that’s Zero.

    • I’m extremely disappointed with the Alabama selection. The processes is broke and needs to be fixed. You are right,” It makes the whole thing totally meaningless”.

      • For the next few days, I will be walking about here in the ATL with steam coming out of my ears.First, I will be subjected the smugness of Georgia Fans (trust me on this one, folks, they are insufferable when they are winners). Try listening to David Pollack on ESPN for the next few weeks discussing his alma mater. Second I will have to mentally absorb the travesty that puts once again a non-conference champ (ALA) in the CFPO because they have a couple of networks carrying their water for them (CBS and ESPN). I knew that the PAC 12 would get hosed because, well, Larry Scott, but I can’t believe that they did it to tOSU, the Big TEN champs. What a freaking joke.

I hope that the only decent Bowl game is the Cotton Bowl, that the Pac 12 refs stay home and that we win in a thriller and that the CFPO tournament is a boring, mistake-filled steaming pile of cr*p!!!

  8. Wolfe is the only writer in the country that trashes his base team. He goes out of his way to downgrade the accomplishments and success of the team every year – even in National Championship years. Your shtick is old and not entertaining. Get out of town. I should have dumped a beer on your head at the Farm tailgate several years ago. You can at least have some objectivity to your voting analysis in comparison to conference championships, strength of schedule and record. You only look for the worst in USC. Every team on the list has faults, but why only bash USC? While every other writer in the nation goes out of their way to support their base, you do your part to disparage the Trojans each and every time. You are a sorry pessimist and a miserable person. Glad I don’t know you.

    • You absolutely nailed it Vince. Our pathetic blogger is the only beat writer in America who roots against the team he gets paid to cover. Rarely says anything positive, but quick to criticize. He really would fit in nicely with the fake news crowd at CNN
