  1. Good for Coach Helton. Everyone knows this is the COY Award that matters. Everyone laughs at the “other” COY award…..to the point, Helton probably would have declined it —and just waited for the A.P. Award….

        • “Redemption”. If SW left out the snarky words, maybe we could get some “inside” information.

      • “Coach Helton —- It is my great honor to present you with this Coach of the Year Award. My only regret is that it fails miserably to honor your achievements. If only I could replace this gold paint with precious diamonds and rubies and fill this cup with the buried treasure of the Lost Continent of Atlantis!”

  2. Wow Jones and Marshall make the second team must be a time zone thing which limited their data in order to make a solid opinion on their choices

  3. If Jack Jones made the second team the whole thing loses credibility or the Pac12 has no cornerbacks. He was beaten badly so many times this year it was pathetic

    • I would say it is even more impressive what Sam and Rojo did when you consider there is not one O-Liner or TE from USC on the 1st or 2nd Team. Jack Jones should have been All PAC 12 1st Team – Escort the way he tailed all those WR’s to the end zone.

      • Ha! The Escort Award. Now that’s something for Jack to think about for NEXT year. This year he wasn’t really close enough to any scoring receiver to really deserve it.

  4. At least Toa Lobendahn wasn’t named as a 2nd team OL like he was unbelievably by the coaches.

Good to see Chris Hawkins make the 2nd team D. He was easily the Trojans’ best DB this year. The inclusion of JJ and Grabby is Comedy Hour stuff.

  5. Hey Flow.. Find out how many coaches will not be retained on Helton’s staff, intel is THREE! Ready set GO! And who are they ? #FightonSwann

  6. USC, without a single Offensive Lineman? That’s the problem with this team. It’s a problem that USC will unlikely be able to recruit it’s way out of. The in-state OL talent is as thin as it’s ever been.

California is well stocked with QB’s and overstocked with WR’s on offense. On defense, talented LB’s are numerous, DB’s and DE’s are barely sufficient.

Meanwhile, talent at the OL, RB and DT positions remains at extremely low numbers.

  7. Scooter, come clean. Did you vote for Helton or are you even considered a writer? We gots to know.

  8. I’m shocked that “Big” Helton wasn’t satisfied with the Cotton Candy Bowl bid.

Two consistent properties of the bozo u FB Program:

    Nepotism and inbreeding.

  9. Remind me again about people thinking Clay underachieved? Stick to reporting the facts. Commentary and opinions can eventually get you in trouble. People have long memories……

  10. Not sure Jack Jack or Biggie would have made 2nd team All Trinity League this year with the way they played

    • Look for Colbert to be added to the staff, possibly K Norton Jr and word is a former Bruin is coming to USC .. Helton is looking at a NFL guy and SEC guy to add by substraction..

  11. Helton at the plate……..

    Blogger on the mound……

    What, Helton calls his shot?

The pitch, long fly ball over the pavilion, this one is gone❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗
