It’s Good To Be President

According to the Chronicle of Higher Education, USC president Max Nikias is the third-highest-paid president in the nation after making more than $3.1 million in 2015. The only presidents who make more are Wake Forest’s Nathan Hatch ($4 million) and Emory’s James Wagner ($3.5 million).

  1. Can’t argue with the cash money the guy has raised. No idea what he does for football (our primary interest), but he seems to clearly be the best fund-raiser the institution has ever had. $3.1 million seems a pittance compared to many other college employees across the country (Saban, etc.)

    • And who can forget his back to back stellar hires for the Dean of the Medical School !!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Maybe SC can lower it so he will leave and hire a president that will have its priorities in line, like school and USC football.

  2. What? Scot Wolf is worth 10 million…oops sorry that’s the actor. I am guessing Scott Wolf inside USC inside his mind is slightly lower than the average school president – making somewhere in the mid $60k range, but we elevate him to high pay with our partaking herein.

  3. Hey Max, we might be able to kick that up above $4 million if we beat the Buckeyes in Dallas. You might want to skip the Holiday fundraisers and spend your evenings massaging Porter Gustin’s toe.

  4. Max Nikias is worth every penny and more. He and former Dr. Sample moved USC from 56th Best University in the US to now ties with the bRuins at 21. He started the largest ever college funding campaign of $6 BILLION and reached the goal 18 months early. He envisioned the newly opened $700 Million USC Village, which USC paid in cash, no construction loans. I am sorry, Scooter, what have you done in your career? I only wish that USC Football Bloggers were held to any standard.
