Matt Corral Chooses Third School

Quarterback Matt Corral (Long Beach Poly) has now committed to his third school (Ole Miss) before he enrolls next month. Corral originally committed to USC, which apparently dropped him and then committed to Florida. Yesterday, he announced he would go to Ole Miss.

  1. ugh! pick a scool alredy! its not fare to fans by makeing us wait to see how he gonna make desicions that dont effect us, smdh!

    • Maybe it’s time you asked Attorney General Sessions & Secretary Tillerson just how much this decision “don’t effect us”…..

  2. Best decommit ever. USC dodged the mess this kid will bring. I say he transfers before he is all done.

    • Hugely over-rated. Another recruiting service paper tiger prep who has now just committed to the SEC program least likely to succeed for the next 5 years. Bye bye.

        • Actually, if this serial decommitter/castoff was really stupid he latch onto your hero, Show Cause Kelly, Donut Dan’s fellow rotund pot belly and guarantee his failure at ucla, always the big #2 in L.A. There’s still time for Corral to cement his decline in baby blue, or whatever UA calls it now.

          • You’re my little Internet slave.

Now stand up, hang your arms out and beg for more of my posts so you have something to read little gutty while you continue to follow me around.

      • What do you think happened with this kid, could’ve picked any pac12 team for a while , now he’s bottom feeding in the sec where quarterbacks go to flounder and die? Seems like he just fell completely out of favor out West here.

    • I agree but you have to give credit as well. Going there shows he has a little more moxie than maybe most thought. I kinda admire this decision. This isn’t a easy choice and shows he’s finally found a home he’s comfortable with, good for him. But again I’m glad he’s not a Trojan.

      • Think about it. USC (so Cal) to Ole Miss (Mississippi). Sure hope he loves working out in 100% humidity on a nice day, eating lots of catfish and hush puppies. Sounds to me like he has run out of options. I don’t see how anyone could be comfortable in Miss.

        • He got shoved out and bottom-fed his way to probation stricken OLE MISS. He wants to sign early so he’ll still have a ride. USC was the first to ditch him.

We’ve made enough QB signee mistakes in the past and still managed to become a huge QB-magnet school – same with RBs and WRs. Now, USC just has to figure out the OL problem if we want to climb the last rung.

    • I wouldn’t have been a Lavar Ball level mess but it could have been a mess nonetheless.

    • Agree. The only reason he chose ole miss is he was probably told he could have the job as freshman. If he wants the job handed to him, and doesn’t like the competition, good riddance!

  3. In fairness, the coach he committed to at UF was fired, and the new coach at doesn’t recruit immobile pro-style QBs.

  4. Didn’t they just get sanctions? Has the well really dried up to that extent for the kid? Shae Patterson just pulled up out of there….

    • Yeah, Corral is making a “damaged goods” move here. It is not a 5-star choice to go to a school that is seeing a sanctions exodus.

      • He’ll end up as a punter on the San Jose St. practice squad when it’s all said and done.

  5. According to sources, Matt Corral was at the Sweet Dixie Kitchen in long beach eating the reheated popeye’s chicken saying “I decommited from southern cal because they weren’t on sanctions like they usually are! I chose Ole Miss because I believe in playing for crooked programs!!” When southern cal goes on sanctions again I will transfer to southern cal!”

    • Poor little gutty Ted.

ucla can’t beat USC at full strength so you little gutties had to hire an obese, admitted cheater and personal check writer. At least Wooden was smart enough to use Sam Gilbert and not his own personal checking account.

          • Technically he should be called Slap on the Wrist Kelly because that is what he ended up getting.

          • It also pays to have institutional control.
SoCal was pummeled by the NCAA for arrogance on top of non-compliance.

          • Who could be more arrogant than a low rent little gutty Troll like you? You’re the arrogant expert wimp boy.

          • How’s your prediction of a Christmas impeachment coming , Owns? Your pal Schiff melted down today.

          • Jack B. notes “Head Cheater Idiot”. That sums it up from a functional standpoint, though in Westwood Gilbert probably had a more genteel title than that. Below is Gilbert’s job description.

“On the court at UCLA, John Wooden called the plays. Off the court, Sam Gilbert called the players.”

            — Excerpt from 1991 book “Undue Process”

Looks like an interesting read. Try it out.

Wooden was smart enough to try to create some distance from Gilbert. Harrick, on the other hand, wasn’t so smart.

        • Chip’s a fat slob with an eating disorder who couldn’t handle the NFL and is old news in the college football world. The tragic little gutty football culture will long outlive Show Cause Chip’s outdated offense and cheating ways.

  6. Probably a good move on his part. This is a big decision for any high school football player and you have to get it right. He’ll have a better chance at Ole Miss than he would have had at Florida.

  7. For any who were wondering:

It’s my understanding that JT Daniels will not reclassify to 2018. It was never his plan, and is virtually impossible to do from MD.
