Tailback Mychale Salahuddin Decommits From USC

Tailback Mychale Salahuddin of Washington, D.C., announced on twitter he was no longer committed to USC but would still consider the Trojans. This is not likely a case of USC dropping a recruit since the coaches recently made a home visit with Salahuddin.

    • He had an official vist to USC on Dec. 15th then decommits. Something went wrong, and my sources tell me wolf was stocking the guy throughout his vist. ……mystery solved

      • SW dropped a dime on us. He told the decommitter USC plays in a Big 6 bowl every year and freshman get to play right away if they’re good enough. That scares some people off.

          • I wish. Gossip is cool. Too bad SW never comes up with what’s really happening. That’s all we ask, right? I can take the negative bias. Don’t care about that really. It’s the lack of why things really happen and what’s going on that is such a bore.

  1. On a brighter note, UNC, of the famous African studies scandal has seen fit to offer an 11 yr female soccer player…who promptly accepted!!!

  2. Any RB recruit who doesn’t appreciate our fantastic RB coach isn’t worth wasting a moment’s more time on.

    • He was probably told that Stepp would be our featured back from this class.. Ware, Malepeai and Carr, hardly room for two more in the rotation..

      • I never worry about guys who decommit. Never. They weren’t meant to be Trojans. Wish them good luck somewhere else. Fill the gap with someone who has a burning desire to play for USC. I’ll take that any day of the week, even if it means a slight step down in talent.

You only want guys who are committed to you all the way, that see themselves as fitting in, regardless of any obstacles. Just like Sam Darnold. All he wants to know is, do I have a fair shot?

  3. Steep is coming!!! He’s a big back. Hopefully Salahuddin re commits on signing day. We could potentially have thunder and lighting 3.0.

    • Do you understand that we don’t have many slots open and RB is one of our deepest and most-talented positions?

1 RB is more than enough. 4 LBs is not and neither is 3 OLs.

      • True. We need OLs, CBs and LBs. No more RBs, unless some super-huge-timer just calls up Clay and says he’ll sign on Wednesday, no questions asked.

      • We’ll have 4-5 LBs in this class, 2-3 CBS, 2 Safeties and and at least 4 DL / DEs. We are lacking OLs. We only have 2 and I’m not sure if we can pull off the 5 star OT and 4 Star OG. We need a 2nd RB. They get hurt all the time.

  4. According to sources, southern cal told Mychale Salahuddin to look else where. Salahuddin is an honor student who didn’t have a chance of following in the foot steps in the guise of past southern cal tailbacks like O.J. or Reggie Bush’s criminal behavior.

Stepp on the other hand was voted “most likely to end up in prison” and was heavily encouraged to commit to southern cal!

  5. I hate to see them lose this guy. He looked pretty good to me on film. But we’re loaded with RB’s even without Rojo.
